Partnering with the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce and the non-profit organization Person-To-Person, the real estate firm is participating in two heartwarming initiatives aimed at spreading joy and providing essential resources across Fairfield County.
For the New Canaan Gingerbread House Tour, now in its 20th year, Brown Harris Stevens staff and agents have purchased 150 gingerbread house kits from Walter Stewarts Market. Distributed through the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce, these kits are decorated by children during the Thanksgiving holiday and displayed in local storefronts from December 6 to December 22 as part of the Holiday Stroll. This beloved tradition, made possible by community collaboration, adds a festive charm to the season while bringing smiles to young faces.

The partnership extends beyond seasonal festivities with a meaningful Food Drive to benefit Person-To-Person, a non-profit dedicated to supporting Fairfield County residents with essential resources like food pantries, clothing centers, and emergency financial assistance. On November 16th, 2024, the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) hosted its 27th Annual Collaborating for a Cure Gala at the iconic Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. Known as one of the city’s most anticipated philanthropic evenings, the gala brought together leaders in business, fashion, and entertainment to advance the fight against cancer.
The event honored Mike Rawls, CEO of Xome Holdings LLC, with the 2024 Distinguished Business Leader Award for his unwavering support of cancer research initiatives. Under the glittering chandeliers of Cipriani Wall Street, more than $3.1 million was raised to fund cutting-edge research that explores the complex relationship between aging and cancer.
Dr. Samuel Waxman, CEO and founder of SWCRF, spoke passionately about the evening’s mission, stating, "Last night’s Collaborating for a Cure Gala was a remarkable celebration of generosity and unity in the fight against cancer.
