The record-breaking night arrived as NYJL celebrates its 125th anniversary—an occasion rooted in the organization’s founding in 1901 by Mary Harriman and its long-running mission to advance women’s leadership while strengthening New York City communities. Proceeds from the event will help sustain support for more than 60 community partners across the city, with programs focused on strengthening the social, emotional, and economic wellbeing of New York City families, alongside NYJL’s advocacy initiatives and volunteer training.

NYJL President Jeri Powell recognized the evening’s Legacy Award Honoree, Valerie S. Mason—an attorney, executive, and board leader who serves as Chair of Lender Finance at Otterbourg P.C. and Chair of Manhattan Community Board 8. Corporate sponsors included Bloomberg Philanthropies, Kirkland & Ellis, Marsh McLennan Agency, Morgan Stanley, The Sack Group at Morgan Stanley, Otterbourg P.C., and Ropes & Gray, with in-kind support from partners including What Goes Around Comes Around and Whispering Angel.
