The lights of Times Square have a new star attraction. Opening November 15, Bowtie Bar inside the Renaissance Hotel Times Square redefines the classic cocktail lounge with cinematic city views, inventive drinks, and design flourishes inspired by Broadway’s golden age. Set high above the crowds at 2 Times Square, this new destination offers an intimate yet electric escape where guests can sip, savor, and soak in the neon glow from floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking one of the world’s most famous intersections.

The experience is pure theater—its menu titled “The Cast List” showcases cocktails that balance performance and precision, from the earthy elegance of the Savory Confidential (a Tequila Ocho Reposado Negroni) to the fiery flair of Backstage Ember, a smoky mix of mezcal, chili, and pomegranate. Playful bites dubbed “Curtain Raisers”—like the Bowtie Smoked Hot Dog and Times Square Tower of Tenders and Tropics—make the perfect co-stars, while desserts from the “Grand Finale” ensure a sweet encore. Designed by Studio 11 Design under Kellie Sirna, the interiors pay homage to the neighborhood’s Art Deco theaters, pairing muted glass, polished metal, and textured fabrics for a look that’s timelessly New York.

“Every element—from the panoramic views to the curated cocktail list—is crafted to make guests feel part of the city’s energy,” says Wilson Bravo, General Manager of the Renaissance Hotel Times Square. Whether for pre-show drinks, late-night toasts, or a romantic escape above the crowds, Bowtie Bar stands as Times Square’s most refined new hideaway—one that proves the city that never sleeps still knows how to shine.
