Fall/Winter NYFW Party Looks to Recreate

Briana Gonzalez

One of New York's most awaited events- fashion week. Anticipated not only for incomparable street wear designs, the creativity and artistic vision of high fashion looks further prove that designers set the trends. Many of the most indulgent and extravagant designs are looks fit to party in. While many of the looks are not always ready to wear off the runway, you can transform your image by following the trends from this year's most popular and fun looks.

Marc Jacobs 2020

Taking inspiration from Marc Jacobs runway show, opt for a more elegant silhouette that both frames the body without being too clingy. Choose something with sparkle to add a touch of fun to an otherwise elegant party look. Match the bustier fitting top with some statement jewelry to top off the look.

Prabal Gurung 2020

A big trend amongst designers this season is the asymmetrical cut-out look. Flirty and fun, the strategically placed cut-out designs are decorated with gems or diamonds for a more elegant look. The split thigh gives the wearer a chance to have some fun with shoe choice, while the Gurung opts for a monochromatic tone, elevate your party look by choosing a statement shoe of your choice to add color or perhaps more height.

Jason Wu 2020

Looking for a party look that is not only bright but perfectly balances chic and fun? Choose to recreate this Jason Wu outfit by matching your color tones. You can have fun with color by matching cool tones together, warm tones together, or mix and matching for a more eclectic feel. Pair a silk skirt with knee high heeled boots to stay slightly warmer this winter.

Self Portrait 2020

Pant outfits are the most versatile trend this season, this sleek look transforming pants into a comfortable and slightly edgy party outfit. Pair pants with a thicker belt and a statement top- this cut-out one sleeve sparkle top perfectly matching the aesthetic. Perhaps add your own personal touch and veer towards the addition of open toed shoes and longer earrings to complete the look.

It’s here: sheer, sheer, sheer! Black sheer outfits provide just enough coverage to the body, akin to a slightly see through outfit, especially when paired with a matching bodysuit. Finding something that is longer accompanied with sleeves will make you feel most comfortable in this outgoing and strikingly beautiful piece. Pair with fun heels and a bold makeup look to help make the focal point not only the dress, if it makes you feel most comfortable.

Brandon Maxwell 2020

Ulla Johnson perfectly styles two popular makeup trends- tying together the bare face and shimmer. While the face remains almost relatively untouched, choose for a nude or clear  glossy lip and a shimmery eyeshadow to top off your outfit.

The slick back pony and statement earring pair allows you to polish off your party look while adding a either a bold or elegant touch. Choosing the pony hairstyle allows you to open up the face, making your accessories or your outfit of choice the focal point of the outfit. Keeping hair in place for a night of dancing or a more elegant evening, you can add accessories to your slicked-back pony-tail by adding either a silk tie or diamond adornments.

Paris Hilton and Bella Magazine Celebrate Fashion Week and Her New Fragrance

She is a vintage reality star and has been able to continue making a career of her own, being an international DJ, opening her first property, and launching her 20th fragrance. Tuesday night Paris Hilton celebrated the launch of her new fragrance Gold Rush and the cover of Bella Magazine at the chic Bagatelle. As Paris promotes her new business ventures she continues to work on her music as she heads back to Ibiza to play her new music. One should not expect similar music as her infamous Stars Are Blind single, which we all grew to love. Paris describes herself as the sexy bottle that’s as statuesque as her Goldrush, as “Sexy and excited how the bottle turned out, and the scent being amazing” When I asked if it was male-friendly (hoping to get sprayed by Ms. Hilton) I was informed that a male version will be launching in a few weeks. When not promoting Goldrush, Paris had been in town spending time with her sister Nicky and new daughter, Lilly. Paris has been around this week doing press tours and hanging out at the stock exchange. On Fashion Week, Paris Hilton says her favorite show was Designer Jeremy Scott’s, saying, “I love him, we’ve been very good friends for a long time, I love his clothes.  He’s so talented and so creative and there really is no one like him and his risk.”  I think we can all agree after seeing his latest designs. After giving her interviews and photos taken with fans, Paris relaxed with her group of friends in the back corner of Bagatelle. It was a fun evening to celebrate the new Paris Hilton, and to remind us of her fragrance, her business, and love of family.  Don’t expect to see her slow down.
