Where Fashion Week Dines: The Restaurants and Lounges Defining NYFW Nights

New York Fashion Week isn’t just about the runway — it’s about where you land once the shows let out, the after-hours destinations where style meets substance. This season, the city is buzzing with spots that feel tailor-made for the fashion set: moody cocktail dens, buzzing supper clubs, and rooftops with skyline views as striking as the collections themselves. Whether you’re slipping away for a martini between shows or ending the night with Champagne and caviar under the city lights, these restaurants and lounges are setting the scene for NYFW’s most memorable moments.

Temple Bar (332 Lafayette St.)

If NYFW had a signature cocktail, you’d probably find it at Temple Bar. This moody downtown hideaway reborn in 2021 - but with its ‘90s martini-laden soul intact - is where the fashion set sneaks off for expertly crafted drinks in an atmosphere dripping with old New York glamour. Martinis dominate the menu (in all their playful variations), Champagne flows, and the lighting stays just dim enough to make every corner feel like a secret. The crowd is a mix of fashion insiders, boldface names like Cara Delevingne, Emily Ratajkowski, Taylor Swift, and those in the know — with a discerning doorman Disco who keeps the energy curated. Whether you’re sliding in post-show or winding down after a long day, Temple Bar is NYFW’s version of a classic accessory - timeless, sharp, and always in style.

12 Chairs Cafe (56 MacDougal Street)

When the runway rush has your calendar packed and your feet in overdrive, slip away to 12 Chairs Cafe in Soho - a cozy all day cafe with vibrant, fresh Mediterranean dishes that will feel like a deep breath between shows and events. The menu includes light sharable bites and mezze and dips that will keep you light but satisfied. Guests can enjoy everything from their breakfast items like Shakshuka and Smoked Salmon Scrambled with coffee to their signature dips such as hummus, falafel and tahini with fluffy pita to vibrant salads with Shouk Salad with Cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, radishes, red onions, oregano, kalamata olives and feta cheese to a popular Schnitzel Salad. The perfect transition from daytime recharge to evening where the space becomes buzzing with music and the perfect destination for people watching or unwinding.  During NYFW, think of it as your stylish pit stop — part refueling station, part social hub.

Drai’s Supper Club (244 W 14th St):

Newly opened as a bi-level destination - Drai’s Supper Club landed recently in the Meatpacking District with all the glamour you’d expect — and a menu that blends French finesse with approachable New York flair. While guests enjoy Caesar salads, indulgent steak au poivre and pasta topped with a generous portion of caviar— there is just enough retro flair to feel like a true supper club moment. With a performance stage at its heart, live jazz and full bands set the tone Wednesday through Sunday, making dinner here as much a show as the runway itself. After dessert (don’t skip the baba rum or fresh-baked cookies), head downstairs to the sultry lounge for espresso martinis and late-night conversation. It’s indulgent, yes — but in a way that feels energizing, sophisticated, and perfectly timed for NYFW nights.

Bar Nena (63 Carmine Street)

Located in the West Village, this centrally located restaurant is a Mexico City-inspired cocktail hideaway and a must-visit for those seeking an intimate and exclusive experience. Accessed by an unmarked flight of stairs, Bar Nena has already attracted the fashion elite, including Moschino and Maxwell Osborne. An intimate space to rub shoulders with New York and fashion elite in an intimate setting.

Set in a prime location that’s perfect for people-watching the fashionable crowd, the inviting space features a cozy fireplace, intimate booths, and a dramatic cheetah-print back room ideal for late-night cocktails. The menu reimagines American bistro classics with playful twists, such as a “Dirty Martini Dip” and Crispy Cheese & Caviar the buzzy mozzarella stick topped with caviar. And can’t skip out on standouts like Lobster Pasta, Wagyu and Caviar Toast and Roasted Chicken—while the cocktail program reinvents timeless favorites with a creative flair. Already a hotspot with plenty of photo-worthy backdrops, Chelsea Living Room also hosts live music on select nights and newly launching in time for fashion week,  late night programing with a dinner party series after midnight for those who want to linger after their meal, making it a go-to destination for dinner, drinks, and a show.

Amber Room (55 W 21st Street)

Flatiron’s newest upscale lounge and event venue, Amber Room is quickly becoming a go-to Fashion Week hotspot. Inspired by its glowing amber and red-toned walls, the space features a striking central bar, plush interiors, and an open floor plan designed for both style and energy. Already drawing celebrities like J Balvin and G-Eazy, as well as pro athletes across tennis and football, Amber Room has played host to Met Gala after-parties and Fashion Week events. With capacity for 300 guests on the main level plus a dramatic VIP suite with soaring ceilings and sculptural face-inspired architecture, it’s the perfect backdrop for after-parties, late-night industry connections, and letting off steam in true New York fashion.

Somewhere Nowhere (112 W 25th St)

Rising high above Chelsea, Somewhere Nowhere has become one of New York City’s most talked-about nightlife destinations — and a must during Fashion Week. The two-level lounge and rooftop offers sweeping, unobstructed views of the Empire State Building, setting the stage for a nightlife experience unlike anywhere else in the city. Known for its high-energy atmosphere, immersive music programming, and curated crowd of tastemakers, creatives, and celebrities, Somewhere Nowhere seamlessly blends sophistication with a late-night edge. Guests can expect dynamic DJ sets, handcrafted cocktails, and an electric dance floor that carries the night well past midnight. With its striking interiors and rooftop skyline backdrop, the venue has quickly become the place where industry insiders gather to celebrate, connect, and let loose during Fashion Week and beyond. Ten11 Lounge (19 W 31st Street, LIFE Hotel)

Tucked beneath the newly opened Zoi Mediterranean restaurant in the historic LIFE Hotel, Ten11 Lounge is a subterranean escape of glowing onyx, Turkish marble, and rich textures making it a picture perfect destination for a sophisticated night out. As the evening sets in, the lounge transforms into a sultry hideaway serving theatrical cocktails and elevated fare like wagyu sliders, sushi, and its piece de resistance: Champagne, Caviar & Chips, a trio of Kaluga caviar served alongside crisp, house made chips and a glass of chilled champagne.

As the city pulses with the rhythm of Fashion Week, these venues offer more than just a table or a drink — they’re stages in their own right, where fashion insiders, celebrities, and nightlife lovers cross paths. From Soho cafés to sky-high rooftops, each spot captures a different side of New York glamour, ensuring that the story of NYFW continues long after the runway lights dim.
