TALEA Beer Co. is the only exclusively woman and veteran-owned and founded production brewery (and taproom) in NYC.

On a mission to disrupt the beer bros dominating the craft beer industry, TALEA founders, LeAnn Darland and Tara Hankinson were both avid homebrewers with MBAs who met after leaving their corporate jobs in tech and media to join the beer industry. Working together at beer startup, Hopsy, they quickly realized that despite the booming craft beer market, no breweries were actively trying to speak to customers like them.

The taproom in Williamsburg is bright and airy. It's cafe by day, taproom by night, offering beer flights, wine, beer cocktails, coffee, kombucha on draft, pastries, guided tastings, and light bites like cheese and charcuterie plates. Our/New York is the first vodka distillery + bar in New York since the Prohibition. Our/Bar, re-opened in Chelsea last Summer and serves specialty cocktails specifically using the Our/New York Vodka. They also offer distillery tours and vodka tastings for individuals and groups.

The final week pays homage to Chef Shani and how he started his career walking through the old streets of Jerusalem and appreciating the smells, sounds, and flavors.  The old streets of Jerusalem were the birthplace of Chef Shani’s philosophy on produce and food, and many of the flavors on the menu will be reminiscent of those days.

One Hundred Shoreditch, the new hotel from Lore Group (the group behind Sea Containers London, Pulitzer Amsterdam, Riggs Washington DC and Lyle Washington DC), is now taking reservations ahead of its opening in February.

Designed by Lore Group Creative Director Jacu Strauss, One Hundred Shoreditch will reflect how the area has evolved during the last decade with interiors that mirror the neighborhood’s new, grown-up feel while retaining the buzz and vibrance synonymous with the area in the hotel’s public spaces. 

The 258 bedrooms and suites have been designed with calm and comfort in mind, giving guests headspace and a place to disconnect from the outside world. The rooms are finished in neutral color schemes with original abstract art, while the suites feature a mix of bespoke furniture and curated vintage pieces, in addition to large terraces with views of Shoreditch and the London skyline.

In a trend report issued by both brands, searches for top wedding and honeymoon destinations are trending in a very positive direction.
