Saying “I Do” to 2022: More couples are planning weddings and honeymoons in their dream destinations, according to HomeToGo and Honeyfund.

HomeToGo, the world’s largest vacation rental marketplace, and Honeyfund, the most trusted honeymoon registry and wedding fund service, today released the most desired destinations for 2022 weddings and honeymoons. After a challenging year with travel restrictions, couples who have been waiting to plan their dream destination wedding and/or honeymoon can finally say “I do” at the perfect vacation rental in an unforgettable destination.

In a trend report issued by both brands, searches for top wedding and honeymoon destinations are trending in a very positive direction. According to data from HomeToGo, Americans are planning trips to top wedding and honeymoon destinations much farther in advance compared to before the pandemic, with the average lead time for couples booking dream vacation rentals jumping to 121 days ahead of their romantic getaways (vs. 74 days in 2019).* Additionally, searches for the most popular destinations have increased +23% vs. 2019.

Honeyfund surveyed more than 600 couples in the throes of planning their upcoming nuptials to determine the most desirable locations for their first trip as a married couple. Tapping into HomeToGo’s search demand date, the interest for 2022 is up drastically worldwide for these top Honeymoon spots:

St. Lucia (+124% searches vs 2019)

Jamaica (+64% vs 2019)

Hawaii (+44% vs 2019)

Italy (+31% vs 2019)

The Bahamas (+29% vs 2019)

Barbados (+16% vs 2019)
