Inside The Algemeiner’s J100 Gala at Capitale Honoring Javier Milei, David Draiman, and Boaz Weinstein

The Algemeiner hosted its 12th Annual J100 Gala at Capitale in New York City on March 9, 2026, welcoming an at-capacity crowd for an evening centered on recognizing individuals whose work has had a demonstrably positive impact on Jewish life and Israel. The night honored Argentine President Javier Milei, Disturbed lead singer David Draiman, and Saba Capital founder Boaz Weinstein, with Editor Dovid Efune and CEO David Cohen welcoming guests.

A major highlight of the gala was the unveiling of The Algemeiner’s annual J100 list—100 Jewish and non-Jewish figures spanning politics, culture, business, and public life. The published list includes names such as Billy Joel, Dave Portnoy, Steve Witkoff, and Marco Rubio, reflecting the organization’s stated focus on spotlighting advocacy and leadership that strengthens Jewish communities.

During remarks, publisher Simon Jacobson spoke about the publication’s mission and the role of journalism in an era of fast-moving misinformation. Milei, Weinstein, and Draiman also addressed the audience, with Draiman performing the Israeli and American national anthems. The event was chaired by Simon Jacobson, Bernard-Henri Lévy, Dovid Efune and Mushka Efune, and Nina Rennert Davidson and Mitch Davidson, and the guest list included a mix of civic, business, and cultural figures.
