This annual survey recognizes the creative forces behind some of the world’s most stylish homes, as well as the globe’s buzziest hotels, restaurants, and shops. This year’s standout debut studios include Augusta Hoffman, Charlap Hyman & Herrero, Jeremiah Brent, Uchronia, and Yellow House Architects. You can explore the full final class here.
New York City-based designer Augusta Hoffman launched her solo career in 2019, quickly gaining recognition for her romantic, elegant, and timeless interiors. Her projects include a stunning Upper West Side apartment, her own NoHo residence featured in ELLE Decor, and a Manhattan atelier for wedding dress designer Danielle Frankel. Hoffman's understated and refined designs continue to impress, showcasing that true grace lies in the details.
Founded by Adam Charlap Hyman and Andre Herrero in 2014, this architecture and interior design firm has undertaken a diverse range of projects, from opera set designs to art-filled Miami Beach high-rise apartments. The duo's playful and precise approach to design has also extended to art curation and retail environments, making each project a unique blend of erudition and fun.
Jeremiah Brent, the newly minted star of "Queer Eye," has been a prominent figure in the design world since launching Jeremiah Brent Design (JBD) in 2012. Known for his California cool interiors that reflect emotional sensitivity and curatorial ambition, Brent has designed notable spaces like the restaurant Juliet in Los Angeles. We embrace the summer season by exploring the vast array of beaches available, each providing unique amenities that cater to different tastes and needs. These beaches are not just places to swim and sunbathe; they are a hub of summer life, equipped with everything needed for the ultimate beach day. By understanding the distinct features of each location, you can tailor your visit to match your ideal summer day, ensuring every beach outing is as perfect as envisioned.
When it comes to summer in the Hamptons, visiting the right beach can make all the difference in your seasonal experience. Among the top destinations is Coopers Beach in Southampton, not just for its stunning views and soft, white sands but for its ranking as one of the top beaches in America. Another gem is Main Beach in East Hampton, which draws a lively crowd and offers pristine conditions for a classic beach day with its well-maintained facilities and nearby village charms. For those seeking a more serene retreat, Sagaponack’s Gibson Beach offers quieter surroundings where the waves and wildlife speak louder than the crowds.
Each of these locations holds a special allure, providing us with diverse beach-going experiences. Whether you're in the mood for a social atmosphere filled with vibrant beach activities or a calm day set against a backdrop of natural beauty, these beaches are must-visits for anyone in the Hamptons this summer. Their unique characteristics capture the essence of what makes beach days here so unforgettable.
The beaches in the Hamptons are renowned not only for their scenic beauty but also for the range of amenities that make each visit comfortable and convenient. At many of our preferred beaches, you'll find well-maintained restrooms, showers, and changing facilities that make it easy to transition from a day at the beach to an evening out. For added convenience, beaches like Coopers Beach and Main Beach offer chair and umbrella rentals, freeing you from having to bring your own and allowing more spontaneous beach visits.
Moreover, concession stands serve up everything from ice-cold drinks to gourmet snacks, so you can refuel without ever having to leave the sand. Lifeguard presence throughout the summer ensures safety for all swimmers, which is especially comforting for families. These amenities, combined with the natural beauty and cleanliness of our beaches, are what elevate the Hamptons beach experience from simple days at the shore to memorable summer adventures that keep both residents and visitors coming back each year.
The Hamptons are not just a haven for serene beach lounging; they're a playground for families too. Our beaches are packed with activities that cater to the young and the young at heart, making every beach day a new opportunity for fun and adventure. Paddleboarding, kite flying, and beach volleyball are readily available and are great ways for the whole family to stay active while soaking up the sun. For a more relaxed pace, many of our beaches offer tide pools and shallow waters perfect for younger children to splash around safely under the sun.
We also host sandcastle-building contests that are fun for crafters of all ages. These contests not only encourage creativity but also foster friendly competition and community spirit. Additionally, local marine education centers often set up interactive exhibits on our beaches, providing children with hands-on learning experiences about marine life and conservation. These activities not only enhance your family's beach day but also create lasting memories of summer in the Hamptons.
To make the most of your beach day in the Hamptons, a little planning goes a long way. We recommend starting your day early to secure a good spot, especially at popular beaches like Coopers Beach or Main Beach. Packing essentials—sunscreen, water, snacks, and beach toys—will keep everyone comfortable and entertained throughout the day. It’s also smart to check the local weather and tide schedules in advance to avoid any surprises and to ensure the safest conditions for water activities.
Don’t forget to plan for after-beach activities. Many of our beaches are close to charming Hamptons villages with a variety of dining and shopping options. Wrapping up your beach day with a stroll through local galleries or a casual seafood dinner can be the perfect end to a sun-filled day. By following these simple tips, your visit to the Hamptons' beaches can be everything you've dreamed of and more, filled with relaxation, fun, and picturesque scenery.

Camille Orders, a lifestyle influencer originally from Australia, offers a captivating tour of her Greenpoint, Brooklyn home. Camille, who has lived in the U.S. for ten years, shares how she, along with her best friend and business partner Brandy How, designed a vibrant and unique living space. Let’s dive into the highlights of Camille's eclectic home.
Camille's master bedroom is a stunning blend of purple and green, her favorite colors. The room features hand-painted furniture by her friend Michelle Kesselman and elegant swivel chairs by the late designer Jacob Norell. The centerpiece is Camille’s extravagant “princess bed,” which perfectly reflects her grand personality.
The Wood Room offers a refreshing contrast to the master bedroom with its lighter, airy ambiance. Designed with a photoshoot-friendly aesthetic, this room features psychedelic wallpaper and DIY crown molding that frames the wallpaper beautifully. Camille and Brandy’s DIY projects, like the custom lampshades, add a personal touch to the space.
Known as the Blue Room, this third bedroom is a cozy retreat with a reupholstered love seat and a unique round mattress bed. The room showcases Brandy’s biomorphic mirrors and a data-print bed frame, blending creativity with comfort. Camille's approach to design, guided by Brandy, brings her imaginative ideas to life in a cohesive way.
Camille’s kitchen is a dream for anyone who loves to cook. With a preference for gas stoves, Camille enjoys the efficiency and practicality of her kitchen, which also includes a double oven and dishwasher. The space is designed to be both functional and inviting.
Once an office, the Red Room has been transformed into a moody hangout spot. With striking red walls, crown molding, and unique ceiling details, this room is perfect for relaxing and watching movies. The beaded chandelier and custom furniture pieces add to the room's distinctive character.
Camille’s dining area features a beautiful table and chairs by the same designer as her bedroom pieces. The Morana glass chandelier and floor lamp are standout elements, reflecting the high-quality craftsmanship. The room also includes a bar cart, gramophone, and bird cage, all adding to the eclectic vibe of the home.
The living room is anchored by a conversation couch, reupholstered from a brown leather piece found in Miami. The one-of-a-kind bookshelf behind the couch is a mix of French and Asian styles, featuring antique and Amazon finds. This space, designed for engaging conversations, showcases Camille’s eye for unique and meaningful decor.

In the world of high fashion and luxury home design, few names resonate as profoundly as Lauren Santo Domingo. Recently stepping into the role of artistic director at Tiffany Home, Santo Domingo, the cofounder and chief brand officer of Moda Operandi, has long been recognized as a tastemaker of the 21st-century beau monde. Her Hamptons home, featured in VERANDA’s March/April 2024 issue, offers a rare glimpse into the private world of a woman who is a spiritual descendant of Tiffany’s entrepreneurial high style.
Photographed by Noe DeWitt for VERANDA’s March/April 2024 issue.
Raised in Connecticut, Santo Domingo's early exposure to Tiffany's exquisite china set a standard for elegance that she carries into her own home today. “Growing up, in the most elegant dining rooms it was only Tiffany china," she recalls. Her home in the Hamptons reflects this heritage, blending classicism with a forward-facing sensibility. The cocktail hour stirs to life in her barn, where rustic paneled walls are animated by Alexander Calder’s "Les vers noirs," and seating from Billy Baldwin Studio adds a touch of sophistication. The bar, centered around an octagonal rippled-edge Soane Britain table, is overseen by Andy Warhol’s "Portrait of R.C. Gorman," with abstract glassware echoing the barn's colorful and contemporary artwork.
The interior of Santo Domingo's home is a testament to her refined opposition of classicism and nonconformity. The white oak–paneled library serves as an inviting conversation area, perfect for winding down evenings. In the living room, custom wooden parsons coffee tables and daybeds are set against the backdrop of René Magritte’s "The Legend of the Centuries," hanging above a fluted wood column. Each space in her home is carefully curated, reflecting her unique aesthetic that marries the traditional with the modern, much like her approach at Tiffany Home.
Santo Domingo's journey with Tiffany Home, especially under its new French ownership, marks a full circle in her relationship with the brand. Her vision for Tiffany Home, bridging new motifs with archival patterns, is a renaissance in tablescape, free from preconceived notions and full of creativity. Her work is not just about setting a table; it's about creating something beautiful and exciting, a philosophy that clearly extends to her own home.
