Andrew Franz Architect has completed a comprehensive reimagining of a 2,614-square-foot loft at 50 Wooster Street in the heart of SoHo. Housed within a cast-iron building dating to 1895, the three-bedroom, three-bath residence balances the character of a classic SoHo loft with a carefully considered contemporary intervention. The design preserves and highlights original architectural elements, including exposed brick and timber beams, while introducing a refined material palette, custom millwork and a reconfigured layout built around both entertaining and everyday living.

At the center of the home is a 32-foot-long great room that connects the living and dining areas to an open kitchen outfitted with custom cabinetry, Bianco Quarzo countertops and Miele appliances. Sculptural stone details throughout the kitchen include an Onice Bella Rosa backsplash paired with Unique Blue and Gris Roulee flooring, lending the space a polished, gallery-like finish that complements the loft’s exposed architectural bones.
