Where To Eat In New York City This Valentines Day

Whether you’re celebrating with friends, family, or with your partner, love is in the air. The season of spreading love – Valentine’s Day- is back. Planning a romantic evening can be stressful, instead change into those special date-night outfits and delight the one you love to an intimate Valentine’s Day dinner you both can indulge in, at one of these restaurants.

Five Course Valentine's Day at Nerai

Spend a romantic evening at Nerai (55 E. 54th St.) this Valentine’s Day and indulge in a five-course prix fixe menu for $125 per person with an optional wine pairing for $60 per person prepared specially for the evening. The menu features a Roasted Rainbow Beet Salad, Butter Poached Maine Lobster, Black Truffle Spaghettoni, a choice of a 28 day dry aged ribeye or Lavraki a La Polita. For dessert, enjoy Sokolatina and Wild Berry Pavlova. Make this your most romantic Valentine’s Day yet, reserve a table for you and your valentine in the Cava and receive a complimentary toast of bubbly upon arrival, decorated with rose petals, and the glow of soft candlelight.

Bell Book & Candle Valentine’s Day

Bell Book & Candle (141 W 10th Street) is offering a prix fixe menu for $75 a person or $200 a couple with a bottle of champagne. Starters include choices of Red Napa Cabbage Salad, Roasted Tomato and Garlic Bread Soup and more. Choose from entrees like Butter Poached Lobster with black truffle, celery root and hervil, a Grilled Grassfed Beef Filet with potato gratin, haricot vert, BB&C steak sauce or Organic Pork Tenderloin with chorizo cornbread stuffing and sautéed spinach. A vegetarian menu will also be offered for $75 a person with Caramelized Tofu, Roasted Cauliflower Soup, grilled and roasted vegetables enveloped in rainbow chard with romesco sauce and a Stuffed Baby Pumpkin with coconut curry, mixed roots, squash and crispy chickpeas. Assorted sweet endings will be served with both options.

Couples looking for the pinnacle of luxury and romance will be captivated by 701West (3 Stars New York Times), the hotel’s signature fine dining restaurant, which is offering a $175/person prix fixe menu.  701West Signature Restaurant is offering a partnership with sustainable diamond jewelry company, Ame, and is also offering guests a complimentary pair of Spiegelau crystal Champagne flutes. 

The $175/person prix fixe menu includes the rose-shaped Beet Salad with Watercress, Spiced Oil & Mulled Wine SaucePrime Filet Mignon with Stuffed Cabbage, Rosemary & Lardo and the Hibiscus & Raspberry Hearts for dessert, among others. An optional $125 wine pairing from Advanced Sommelier and Wine Director, Amy Racine, in addition to innovative cocktails including the Tokyo Gibson (Gin, Dry Vermouth, Blueberry Sesame Shrub) and a roving Champagne cart.

Molos

Spend your Valentine's Day at Molo's in Weehawken (1 County Road 682) on the Hudson River overlooking the NYC skyline with a prix fixe meal for $95 a person. Choose from options like Lobster Ravioli, Chilled Shrimp and Char Grilled Octopus to start. Main course options include Filet of Halibut with Lobster & Herb Risotto, Rack of Lamb with Lemon Potatoes and Baby Green Beans as well as a Surf & Turf with Filet Mignon and a Lobster Tail. Last but not least, enjoy warm chocolate cake or a Baklava sampler for dessert.

Dirty French

For Valentine's Day this year, Dirty French, Major Food Group's irreverent French bistro, is excited to announce an indulgent $125 prix fixe menu to impress a significant other. Executive Chef Jordan Terry’s menu features classic Gallic fare enlivened with unexpected global flavors. Highlights include the Nantua - scallops and crawfish in a saffron and brandy sauce; Côte de Boeuf for Two - with salad marché, blackened leeks and brown butter béarnaise; and the Étouffée for Two - Dover Sole, Peekytoe Crab and rice pilaf. Those looking to double down on the luxury can order Caviar Service as a supplement. And Dirty French's lavishly-appointed interior supplies all of the romance necessary for a memorable night.

Three Course Valentine's Day at Haven Rooftop

Dine atop The Sanctuary Hotel (132 W 47th Street) at Haven Rooftop with a three course prix fixe meal for two including a glass of prosecco for $105 per person. Starters include your choice of Kale Salad, Lobster Bisque or Prosciutto and Melted Mozzarella. Choose from entrees like Filet Mignon with fingerling potatoes, Gnocchi with mushroom, parmesan, truffle and white wine, Roasted Chicken with a lemon vinaigrette and last but not least, a Lobster Risotto. Choose from cheesecake and chocolate-covered strawberries for dessert.

The Tavern by WS

A charming spot with an enticing atmosphere for you and your partner. The Tavern by WS has a classic brasserie feel— warm, welcoming and inviting, featuring an approachable and contemporary menu. Rooted in a classic American technique, Chef Eli Kaimeh has created a menu where seasonality plays a prominent role. Unique starters for the night consist of; Poached Whaleback Oysters with Champagne Hollandaise and Yukon Gold Potato Blinis with Smoked Salmon Salad and Sturgeon Caviar Dressing. Entrées for this special night includes; Herb Roasted Sole for two, served with Black Truffle Stuffing and Petit Pois a la Francais (Petit Pois a la Francais: Wilted Lola Rosa Lettuces, bound in Béchamel, with Sugar Snap Peas, Applewood Smoked Bacon and Pea Shoots) and Spice Roasted Pigeon & Hudson Valley.

Benno

Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Benno inside The Evelyn Hotel in Manhattan’s NoMad district. Looking for a sexy restaurant complemented by impressive food?  Benno is the perfect place -- serving their a la carte and 5 course Chef tasting menu including Duxberry Gem Oysters to start, Steak Au Poivre, Ravioli Bigusto, and Baked Alaska for $135 per person. Hudson Yards Grill

Nothing says I love you like a romantic dinner for two in an intimate setting. This Valentine’s Day Hudson Yards Grill will offer a decadent dinner sans the “fancy” price tag. The unfussy yet luxe American brasserie will have its full a la carte menu available, plus specials including Lobster Chowder with Roasted Corn and Green Chilies, and Roast Rack of Lamb with Provencal Herbs and Mustard Crust served with Grilled Asparagus and Anna Potatoes. For dessert, Strawberry Shortcake with Sweet Florida Berries is the perfect red Instagram dish for the holiday, especially if taken in the restaurant’s cozy red banquettes. If guests opt to avoid the actual holiday date (2/14), or if you or your Valentine’s schedule doesn’t permit celebrating that Friday – not to worry; the special offerings will be extended throughout the weekend.

L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and Le Club

Enjoy a French-inspired Valentine’s Day with your loved one at this two-star Michelin-starred hotspot, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, or the newly opened Le Club, helmed by Chef Christophe Bellanca. Both restaurants are located in the Meatpacking District (85 10th Ave), and will be open from 6pm - 10pm. Offering an exquisite six course menu for $195 including dishes such as Caviar & Alaskan King Crab with crustacean jelly and celery vanilla cream, Langoustine black truffle ravioli in a foie gras sauce and Grilled Wagyu Ribcap with coffee scented parsley root “Chartreuse”, each course is a spectacular experience perfect for an exhilarating event. Queensyard, Hudson Yard

Hudson Yards all-day dining destination, Queensyard, will be offering a Bar & Lounge menu for $55 per person along with a pre-fixe menu in the Dining Room at $85 per person this Valentine’s Day. Diners can choose from items like Roasted Scallops with salsify, watercress and truffle gel, Aged Duck Breast with prune, armagnac and smoked celery, and an assortment of Queen's Sweets & Treats for dessert. The $85 three-course meal will also be accompanied by a signature cocktail or champagne toast.

Bar Beau

Chef Gemma Kamin-Korn of Bar Beau was inspired by THE infamous bella notte scene from Lady and the Tramp. Let the mouth watering commence: Raw oysters with house accompaniments ($16) , Baby Spinach and Charred Broccoli Salad with citrus herb vinaigrette ($14), Romesco Udon with Meatballs - blend of turkey and beef with thai basil and granna ($21), and Cheesecake with Shortbread Crumble and Citrus ($11) will be on the menu for Valentine's Day in addition to their regular dinner menu on the most romantic day of the year.
