Summer is right around the corner, and you know what that means warm weather and relaxation! And what better way to spend the summer than by going to the Hamptons and eating the best seafood. We’ve compiled a list for you so you wouldn’t have to worry about finding the perfect seafood restaurant when in the Hamptons.
2026 Update: We refreshed this list in October 2026. Wölffer Kitchen in Amagansett has closed, Gosman’s Seafood Restaurant is now Gosman’s Dock by Bagatelle, La Fogata no longer operates under that name, and longtime Plaza Café chef Doug Gulija has moved on to open Fēniks in Southampton Village. We’ve swapped in seafood spots we confirmed were open this season and kept the ones still going strong.
Duryea’s Lobster Deck - 65 Tuthill Rd, Montauk, NY 11954
Duryea’s is the classic Montauk lobster-roll-at-sunset spot, with tables on a deck over Fort Pond Bay. Order a lobster roll or the lobster club salad, plus baked clams, steamers and Orient Point oysters, and grab picnic supplies next door at Duryea’s Market & Café. It opened for the 2026 season in May.
Cowfish Restaurant - 258 E. Montauk Hwy, Hampton Bays, NY 11946
Offering a twist on American cuisine, Cowfish is the restaurant that will for sure impress. The Clam Bar at Napeague - 2025 Montauk Hwy, Amagansett, NY 11930
This roadside shack on the Napeague stretch between Amagansett and Montauk has been serving chowder, steamers and lobster rolls for 45 years, and it’s about as old-school Hamptons as seafood gets. It opened for the 2026 season in April. Expect a line on summer weekends.
Surf Lodge - 183 Edgemere St, Montauk, NY 11954
Offering an “open-air” garden setting on the terrace, the Surf Lodge Restaurant is the perfect place to visit while in Montauk. Opening up again in the summer, Surf Lodge offers a taste of the freshest seafood in the area. With its extensive menu and amazing cocktail and wine lists, Surf Lodge should definitely be on your list of restaurants to visit.
Gosman’s Dock by Bagatelle - 500 W Lake Dr, Montauk, NY 11954
The longtime Gosman’s waterfront at the mouth of Montauk Harbor reopened in 2025 as a partnership with the Bagatelle Group. The French-Mediterranean menu from Chef Rocco Seminara still leans on seafood from Gosman’s own fish market, and it serves lunch, dinner and weekend brunch with harbor views. It returned for the 2026 season in May.
Bostwick’s Chowder House - 277 Pantigo Rd, East Hampton, NY 11937
For a casual seafood lunch in East Hampton, Bostwick’s is a reliable stop. The menu runs from baked stuffed clams and lobster bisque to Block Island cod fish and chips, a seafood pasta with lobster, shrimp and scallops, and a market-price lobster roll. It opened for the 2026 season in late March.
