4 Surprising Marketing Channels That Speak Directly to Customers

October 13, 2020 by Jeremy Lindy

If there is something that sets businesses apart is their way of communicating with the customers. You can literally produce the same product or service like five different companies and the result of your success will come if you know how to maintain the customer-to-company relationship. Marketing is extremely complex nowadays, but it’s also the most efficient and easier than it ever was, that’s why every business owner needs to take these tips to his advantage! Here are 4 surprising marketing channels that will immensely help with your communication and obtain the customer’s attention in no time!

Why is it important?

Before you dive into the marketing world, you first need to understand just why it is important to have direct communication with those who are consuming your products or services. Without a customer, there wouldn’t be a business in the first place - think about customers like bricks that are being used to make a house, but the house is your business! The customer wants to feel valued and important, they want to be called by the product that’s being sold. Why would a person even be interested in your product in the first place, if you have to offer something that everyone already does as well? This is where marketing comes in, and the relationship between the customer and the business begins!

1.Directly Speaking

Emails used to be a super inefficient and boring way of promoting a product, let’s be real most of those emails ended up in spam or trash before even being opened. Experts state that there are better ways of communicating directly with the customer, with new ways being made each day, like marketing via SMS, it’s worth trying it out. Unlike emails, this is a subtle but direct connection you are creating with the customer, as more and more people use their phones rather than their computers - chances are they will notice your message sooner. This new way of marketing is pretty simple but efficient, try to incorporate it in your marketing plan and keep following the trends and behaviors of customers to ensure your success!

2.Indirectly Speaking

Reviews and commentaries have been around since forever, or so it seems. Bloggers became one of the main sources of information when it comes to learning more about the desired product or service from a certain company. This can totally be done in your favor, as you can start your own company blog and write more in-depth about your products or services, the different aspects of them, and all the details the customers would like to know. This way you’ll show that you are not above the customer, but there with them and you are willing to go the extra mile and give them more content and info! Don’t forget some other ways of communicating directly with the customer.

3.Social Media

As you already know, social media became extremely important and used on the daily by almost everyone on the planet! Platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter are the main sources of news, entertainment but also a gigantic market with all sorts and kinds of ads and commercials. But social media isn’t just for product placement, it’s also for speaking and obtaining a relationship with your beloved customers! By choosing a platform, you can keep up with the reviews, get the feedback you need but also keep in touch with the same people who support you!

4. Art

This is one of the seemingly insignificant strategies that sometimes fly by unnoticed, and a lot of business owners are making a big mistake not incorporating and using this trick to their advantage. Art is one of the loudest forms of marketing that can both attract and speak to the customer without saying any words. We often forget how strong the aesthetic is when it comes to selling a product - this all revolves around the brand image of the business itself. Having a nice logo, a clean and user-friendly website, all play into the appeal. Also using other forms of art such as videos became commonly used in drawing in more and more people - customers simply love to see creativity when it comes to promoting a product!

At the end of the day, your customers need to feel valued and listened to - this means you need to listen to their wishes, see their reaction, and adjust your services using their feedback. When it comes to marketing and reaching your customers, the possibilities are endless nowadays, it’s up to you with what approach you want to go with. It’s a customer’s world, and your business lives in it, in order to be and stay on the top of your game and beat the overflowing market, you’ll need to adhere to their wishes!
