The Best Cities To Buy Property In Around The World

January 13, 2020 by Jeremy Lindy

Location is the only thing that matters when buying property. It’s what determines the value of the property more than any other asset. And of all possible locations, the city comes as the most valuable.

It’s a perfect time to purchase a property, especially if you’re a foreign investor or nearing your retirement and want to snag a hot deal. Whether your dream is to settle down in a Trulli house in Italy or earn rental income in the city of love, get into the property market now. From the oldest civilizations of Asia to the magical medieval feel of Europe, there’s always a hot spot for retirees, investors, and anyone looking to grab a property as a second home. Below is a list of the best cities to buy property around the world.

Brunswick East, Australia

It’s an inner-city suburb located five kilometers north from the central business district of Melbourne. Off the plan apartments Melbourne allow you to immerse yourself in a beautiful neighborhood filled with cafés, music venues, restaurants, bars, spaces for public art and design, galleries, and theatres, all less than 6 kilometers from Melbourne’s CBD.

Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon is one of the beautiful cities to visit and spend holidays in—what more if you’re going to buy property in this historical place? Lisbon gets always recognized as one of the top cities around the world with its shopping, beaches, and seafood drawing in travelers each month. The place is famous for its vibrant and beautiful cultural diversity.

A city as vibrant as Lisbon is something that you shouldn’t miss paying attention to when planning to buy a property. The distinguished street-level houses in the place, featuring frescoes, Juliet balconies, and domed halls, will make you feel at home, not to mention their lush gardens and bright rooms.

Shanghai, China

Despite being the most populated city around the world with an estimated of over 26 million residents, this Eastern China city boasts of the busiest container port in the world. It is one of the largest in the global financial center, too. Many people see Shanghai as the jewel of China’s booming economy as a country. There’s no doubt about it being one of the best cities to buy property around the world.

Istanbul, Turkey

They say that Turkey is a country of the future, with almost half of the country’s population aged 30 and below. What does that mean to you? It means that the competition in the real estate market is high, so now is already the time to invest.

With Turkey’s growing economy, diversified between Asia and Europe, investing in the country has never been easier as a foreigner.

The current construction boom in Istanbul is also the perfect opportunity for you to buy pre-construction apartments, with almost half of its existing housing stock needing replacement or renovation. Yes, the time to invest in a property in Istanbul, Turkey is now since if you can get in early on new builds, it means a higher chance for you to enjoy discounted pricing. You can also expect a price increase as the construction period continues.

Los Angeles, USA

Are you a fan of Hollywood? If you are, then why not buy property in its home? Los Angeles is the stomping ground of millionaires and celebrities, which makes it a globally-recognized city. It’s the second largest in the US. Buying property in this place also means enjoying fantastic culture and food, a desirable Mediterranean climate, and the reputation of being the birthplace for the California dream for fame and fast wealth.

Apulia, Italy

This forms the heel of Italy’s boot despite not always being the first city that comes to mind when talking about the country. If you want low-priced properties situated in a stunning setting, Apulia is the place for you.

The traditional Trulli houses are the norm around the region and even in the vast majority of the country. Aside from these beehive-shaped houses, the region’s sandy beaches, country land that’s overflowing with olive groves and vineyards, and numerous historic towns that anyone can explore are what makes it one of the best cities to buy property from around the world.

Paris, France

Paris is always the most romantic city to live in the world. They call it the city of love, and it comes down to the Parisian’s fluid language, the picturesque architecture and atmosphere, and the city’s rich history and culture. It’s one of the most visited cities around the world and also one of the best cities to buy property for your family.

Final Thoughts

Choosing where to buy your next property isn’t as simple as looking at a destination globe and pointing your finger at your favorite place. The decision will always be personal and boils down to your preferences. But if you want to maximize your investment by getting into a location that would give you both an incredible feel and experience, the cities mentioned above are worth watching.
