Thirsty for cucumber? So are we as you're all aware today, June 14th is National Cucumber Day, the refreshing vegetable that instantly makes you feel refreshed in salads, by itself or in drinks.
In previous years Hendrick's Gin known for being infused with cucumber and rose has had large events to celebrate the holiday allowing consumers to try their exotic concoctions. To make this holiday a bit more exciting will be drinking our cucumbers with a side of alcohol, so we've compiled a roundup of cucumber focused cocktails to celebrate the day.
Hendrick’s Gin Cucumber Lemonade
Created by Mattias Horseman, Hendrick’s Ambassador
- 2 parts Hendrick's Gin
- 1 part lemon juice
- 1 part sugar syrup
- 2 parts soda water
- 3 thinly sliced rounds of cucumber
Method: Combine all ingredients in a highball filled with cubed ice. Lightly stir and serve. Garnish with 3 thinly sliced rounds of cucumber and 1 slice of lemon.
- 1.25 oz. NOLET’S Silver Gin
- 0.75 oz. Simple Syrup
- 1 oz. Lemon Juice
- Cucumber Slice
- Mint Leaves
Method: Muddle cucumber and mint with simple syrup and lemon juice in a mixing tin. Add NOLET'S Silver, ice and shake well. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
Al Fresco Spritz
- 6 ounces Martini & Rossi Bianco vermouth
- 3 ounces St-Germain
- 2 ounces Bombay Sapphire
- 1 ounce lime juice
Method Build and stir. Top with Perrier and Prosecco. Pour vermouth, St-Germain, and Bombay Sapphire into a mixing jug. Add 1 ounce lime juice. Pour into pitcher over lots of ice. Serve with Garibaldi glasses with a cucumber wheel and a plastic stirrer. Garnish with green grapes, lime wheels, kiwi wheels, starfruit, green apple slices, or cucumber slices.

- 1.5 oz Codigo 1530 Blanco
- 1 oz Merlet Triple Sec
- .5 oz lime juice
- 2 oz green juice (blend of Cucumber, mint, celery, dill, and honeydew)
Method: dry shake all ingredients together and pour into julep cup with cobble ice. Garnish with Cucumber and mint
