Add This to Your NYC Summer List: Edge at Hudson Yards Opens a Massive New Immersive Experience June 11
If you're already running out of "things to do in New York this summer" ideas, Edge at Hudson Yards just made the list very easy. On June 11, the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere is debuting a permanent indoor immersive experience that wraps the building in seven new all-weather installations meaning the view is no longer the whole show, it's just the finale. Tickets are on sale now at edgenyc.com/experiences, starting at $49.
The centerpiece is Kaleidoscope, a two-story journey through giant kaleidoscope rooms including what Edge is billing as NYC's largest kaleidoscope, built from 200 spinning, kinetic mirrors set to original music. The other six rooms keep the energy up: a refracted-light Prism intro, 350 color-changing globes in Pulse, a cinematic 100-floor elevator simulation in Skyrise, a mirrored forest called Reflections, a 25-foot crystal canopy in Crystal Cave, and Infinite City 18 light-filled columns inspired by Manhattan skyscrapers. Hudson Yards Experiences brought in Moment Factory, Journey and SOFTlab to design it, which tells you everything about how dialed-in the production values are.
Pair it with the brand-new Skyline Bar & Café by Tao Group Hospitality an Art Deco-inspired space with a menu of mini smoked bagel bites, babka pastry sticks, Wagyu hot dogs and mini cannolis from Chef Ralph Scamardella plus a reimagined Peak with Priceless and the seasonal return of Marquee Skydeck, and you've basically got a full afternoon and evening planned 1,131 feet above the city. Mastercard cardholders can grab priority and early access through Priceless at priceless.com/hudsonyards. File it under: best new reason to go up.
Edge NYC's new immersive experience opens Thursday, June 11. Tickets from $49 at edgenyc.com/experiences.
