Buying a new home is an exciting prospect. You will finally have a place to call your own, and you can start to make it into the dream home you've always wanted. However, it can also be daunting, especially if you are a first-time home buyer. There are many factors to consider when buying a new house, and a lot of paperwork is involved. To ensure that you make the right choice, here's what you need to know before purchasing your dream home:

1. Budget

Houses are not cheap. Knowing how much you can afford and what kind of monthly payments you are comfortable with is essential. You will also need to factor in closing costs and any repairs you may need once you take ownership of the house. You should also take maintenance costs into account. Taking a mortgage is the most common way to finance a house.
