10 Locations To Visit In Summer 2021

10 Locations To Visit In Summer 2021

Planning your summer vacation travel is no doubt exciting. There are endless options you can choose from in terms of the locations to visit. However, it’s important to note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are various travel restrictions that you should keep in mind. This is especially true if your preferred location has a lot of COVID-19 cases. But it doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy your summer.

At present, many countries have opened their borders for tourists from different parts of the world. However, travelers are obliged to follow the protocol, which includes the use of face masks. You can visit this site if you’re still looking for locations to visit in the summer of 2021. Below are the other options you may take into consideration:

1. Nova Scotia

It’s always a nice idea to visit Canada during the summer. This is especially true if you travel to Nova Scotia, which is considered as a haven for outdoor lovers.

Nova Scotia has different water activities that you can enjoy and these include whale watching, rafting, and kayaking. Hiking in this peninsula also provides you access to the trails of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park and some trails with a beautiful seascape backdrop.

Aside from water and hiking activities, there are also some festivals that you shouldn’t miss, particularly if you want to know more about Nova Scotia’s heritage. Oftentimes, the festivals start from June to August.

2. Cappadocia

This wonderful region is renowned for its unique rock formations, which have caves known for their ancient Islamic inscriptions.

Cappadocia has a fascinating history and the exotic culture of Turkey, which can be suited for a family trip, romantic honeymoon or even solo backpacking. It’s also one of the best travel destinations to visit close to India.

One of the main attractions that people visit for every summer is the hot air balloon studded skies. You’ll also be blown away by its underground caves, cities, and ravines that would make you want to visit it every year.

3. The Bahamas

June is a great time to visit the Bahamas because it’s the time where you’ll experience fewer crowds, mild weather, and lower prices. While other resorts in the Out Islands are open in November, Paradise Island and New Providence are open year-round.

If you’re travelling with your family and want to enjoy a laid-back island living, the Bahamas has a lot to offer.

4. Siem Reap

The Angkor Wat’s temple complex is a fascinating location to explore in the summer, provided that you visit them in the evening or the morning. Moreover, Siem Reap is one of the cheapest destinations around Asia, especially from March to June.

Other than wandering around the unique temples, you may also enjoy a great time around the city on a bicycle and enjoying the local cuisine at the floating village.

5. Maldives

If you’d like to witness a paradise, you shouldn’t cross the islands of Maldives off your list for the summer.

There are thousands of islands along the archipelago of Maldives, giving you a variety of options for your dream tropical summer vacation. The warm and dry conditions of Maldives will let you spend the most time outside, exploring the Indian Ocean waters and the rest of the islands.

The Maldives is also surrounded by reefs; this makes it great for those who want to see some of the best aquatic life in the world.

6. Amsterdam

It may seem out of place on this list but the best time to visit Amsterdam is during summer, which is when there are festivals and events everywhere. One of the events to enjoy is the Open Garden Days, which will give you access to peek into the beautiful private gardens behind the magnificent houses that line the canals.

Amsterdam is best for those who want an urban adventure in the summer. Traversing the different waterways by boat and the bridges on a bike is no doubt a great summer experience.

7. Iceland

Some of the reasons why you should visit Iceland during summer include not having to worry about the brutal winter weather and the warmer temperatures. The winter months can be a good time to catch a glimpse of the aurora borealis due to the cold, dark and long nights; but many roads are closed due to inaccessibility.

On the other hand, during the summer months, Iceland has drier conditions, which makes it easy to find the hiking trails. There are some small festivals to enjoy and it’s also a great time to experience whale watching.

8. New Zealand

New Zealand is one of the countries that were able to control the spread of COVID-19 effectively, which makes it an ideal location to visit this summer.

If you want to escape the cold weather, New Zealand has summer-like weather that you’ll surely love. It’s also known as one of the most beautiful and scenic destinations in the world because of its majestic landscapes.

Whether you’re an adventure seeker, a photographer, nature lover or someone who wants to see the popular Hollywood locations like Hobbiton, New Zealand is the place you would want to visit every summer.

9. Maui

Home to countless beaches, Maui is Hawaii’s hidden gem that you might not have heard of. It’s one of the best holiday destinations across the globe that you can enjoy at your own pace. In fact, if you’re looking for a paradise, there’s no place like Maui. One of the best activities you can enjoy here is snorkeling.

10. Anchorage

It’s the perfect place to visit in Alaska during the summer, which is when the weather is nice and the days are longer. The reason behind this is that in June, the daylight may last about 22 hours, giving you more time to canoe, hike, golf and whale watch.

There are also some heritage sites that you can visit which include the Anchorage Museum so that you can plan a combination of indoor and outdoor activities. During summer, the temperatures are comfortable, perfect to take a wildlife tour, river rafting and see the railroad landscapes.

Conclusion

With the countless locations to visit this summer, there’s always a perfect destination suited for your travel needs and preferences. The only thing that you should do is to choose the best one and don’t forget to plan ahead. It’s also a good idea to research the latest restrictions in your preferred location to avoid any inconvenience and to make the most out of your summer travel.
