Whispering Angel Unveils Limited-Edition Magnums for Labor Day Weekend
Whispering Angel is toasting the final stretch of summer with a festive new release: a set of limited-edition magnum bottles designed to carry the season through Labor Day weekend. The oversized 1.5-liter bottles feature labels inspired by some of summer’s most iconic destinations and pastimes, including New York City, the Hamptons and Miami, with each design capturing a distinct facet of warm-weather living. The rollout is timed to Labor Day, the unofficial close of the season and one of its busiest weekends for entertaining.
The magnum format makes Whispering Angel an especially celebratory centerpiece for late-summer gatherings, whether the setting is a backyard barbecue, a beachside dinner, a sunset sail or a Hamptons get-together. At 1.5 liters, twice the volume of a standard bottle, the magnums are built for sharing and make an effortless style statement on a table or bar cart. As Labor Day approaches, the limited-edition labels offer hosts an easy way to elevate an end-of-summer send-off while still pouring the rosé that has become a staple of the season.
The release arrives as Whispering Angel marks its 20th vintage, celebrating two decades since Sacha Lichine founded the brand in 2006 after acquiring Château d’Esclans in Provence. Produced from Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle grapes harvested at night for freshness, Whispering Angel helped spark the global rosé renaissance and remains the world’s top-selling rosé, with a presence in more than 100 countries. Lichine called the anniversary vintage “among the best vintages of Whispering Angel we’ve made,” while winemaker Bertrand Léon described it as delivering “an energetic, lively finish.”
