1st Look Inside DDG's New West Chelsea Boutique Development

532 West 20th Street is an intimate collection of only nine full-floor condominium residences emphasizing privacy and sanctuary in the center of West Chelsea’s influential gallery district, where neighbors include collector destinations such as David Zwirner, Gagosian, ACA, Tanya Bonakdar and Jack Shainman. Inspired by these surroundings, the building features a gallery-like exterior façade of exposed concrete and handmade, hand-laid bricks from Denmark’s Petersen Tegl.

"Today's luxury buyer in Manhattan is looking for larger living spaces, private outdoor areas and a more boutique lifestyle experience," said Joe McMillan, Founder, CEO and Chairman of DDG. "With only nine loft-like full-floor homes, private parking, direct elevator access and south-facing terraces for every home, 532 West 20th Street perfectly represents the desires of today’s discerning buyer. This rare new development in West Chelsea offers a discrete, truly bespoke residential sanctuary in New York's most culturally rich and architecturally distinct neighborhood."

From the private parking garage, residents have secure, direct elevator entry into their full-floor homes, each of which features a private south-facing terrace. The homes are ideal for buyers who desire privacy and discretion.

For 532 West 20th Street, Joe McMillan's DDG tapped frenchCALIFORNIA, who partnered with Magen H Gallery to curate an exhibition titled "The Collector: Le Gout Francais." FrenchCALIFORNIA outfitted the space with international mid-century and modern collectible design pieces with a particular focus on French post-war design, including pieces by Guillerme et Chambron, Pierre Chapo, Max Ingrand, Jacques Adnet, André-Aleth Masson and more.

A Look At The Last Available Residence At The Bond In LIC

iCross Development and exclusive sales agent The Smith Team at The Corcoran Group are pleased to announce that only one residence remains for sale at The Bond, a boutique 42-unit condominium located at 46-20 11th Street in Long Island City, Queens.  The building’s convenient location, coupled with its spacious floorplans and private outdoor spaces, resonate with buyers – and are the key components to its success.

The final available residence, Unit 1A, is a split two-bedroom, two-bath home that encompasses 1,025 interior square feet.  Spanning the entire length of the apartment, the property’s 274 sq ft, 45’8” terrace is accessible from both the main living area and primary bedroom suite.  The expansive great room features a wall of sliding glass doors that open to this tranquil space, which is perfect for entertaining, dining al fresco, or simply relaxing.

The Bond BUILDING FACADE.jpg

The home was designed for the way today's New Yorkers live.  Complete with a quartz waterfall island crowned with pendant lighting, custom cabinetry, and a full suite of Bosch and Fisher & Paykel appliances, the chef’s kitchen is the truly the heart of the home.  The primary bath features a Kohler deep soaking tub and shower backed by a stone feature wall.  In addition, both bathrooms are equipped with radiant floor heat.

A three-zone heating/cooling system, an in-unit washer/dryer, and a secure keyless entry system are additional features of Unit 1A.  High ceilings, recessed lighting, and wide plank oak flooring can also be found throughout. The property is listed for $1.23 million.

Amenities at The Bond include an attended lobby, a state-of-the-art fitness center, residents’ lounge, common terrace, and a bicycle room.  The building is also the only new development in Long Island City that can offer the buyer the option of purchasing one or two deeded parking spaces.

“Working with iCross has been a wonderful experience. Their design expertise, creativity, and commitment to quality have made The Bond the most desirable building in Hunters Point,” reports Patrick Smith, the sales team’s leader.  “Since launching the final group of sponsor units in January, we have received overwhelming interest - with more than 150 showings and counting.  Residence 1A is the last opportunity for a buyer to make the incredible lifestyle the building offers, their own.”

Ryan Serhant Partners w/ NYC Dept. of Sanitation This Earth Day

SERHANT. Studios

SERHANT. Studios

On April 16, Ryan Serhant, founder and CEO of SERHANT. and star of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing New York, and his eponymous brokerage partnered with the NYC Department of Sanitation’s Foundation and Make a Change World, an environmental non-profit organization, for a spring cleaning of the streets of Manhattan. Approximately 100 volunteers were in attendance to clean up an area of Manhattan identified by the Department of Sanitation as most in-need: Union Square Park and 14th Street between 4th Avenue and 8th Avenue.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, service provided by the NYC Department of Sanitation has been affected by city-wide budget cuts. During 2020, the Department’s budget was cut by $106 million, and litter basket service was reduced by over 60%. Although baseline funding was restored in March 2021, litter issues remain a concern as NYC pursues recovery.

In addition to helping with clean up efforts, SERHANT. made a sizable donation to the NYC Department of Sanitation’s Foundation.  There were nine other SERHANT.-inspired Spring Cleaning events globally last week from Boston to Bali.

The Department of Sanitation collects trash from approximately 25,000 litter baskets across the City, and uses mechanical brooms to sweep the curbs anywhere from one to six times weekly, depending on the street. New Yorkers are reminded to never litter – and that corner baskets are for small items like coffee cups and wrappers, never for household or business trash.

Caspi Development, a leader in the development of residential and commercial properties, today announced the launch of leasing at The West, located at 144 West Street near the East River waterfront in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Inspired by the neighborhood’s industrial past, GF55 Architects designed the seven-story boutique building with a façade clad primarily in red brick. It features 22 apartments, seven of which are part of the Affordable New York program.

Pricing for market rate residences starts at $3,035 for one-bedrooms, and $4,000 for two-bedrooms. Corcoran New Development is the exclusive leasing agent.

Amenities include a top-floor residents’ lounge overlooking the East River and Manhattan skyline, with direct access to a roof deck for outdoor entertaining or relaxing. Apartments feature herringbone wood floors, Bosch cooktops and microwaves, and Kohler fixtures.

The building is located just one block from the India Street landing for the East River Ferry to Midtown Manhattan or the Financial District, enabling residents to commute to and from work in minutes. It is also one block from the G train, with easy access to the L and 7 trains.

Move-ins are scheduled to begin in June 2021 at the property, which was developed by Caspi Development, Barone Management, and Matt Development.
