The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach Is The Hottest Place To Dine This Season

Annabella Pardo

The weather is finally getting cooler on the East Coast and fall is upon us! But down on South Beach things are heating up at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach! Which has a new culinary program across the property designed by Executive Chef Diogo Porto, Sous Chef Samuel Vasquez, and Executive Pastry Chef Nitin Bali, including new breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner menus at Fuego y Mar and a new specialty dessert menu at Lapidus Bar.

Major highlights of the program are the revamped lunch menu at Fuego y Mar, which explores a spin on street food heavily inspired by Latin flavors and flair, and the spirit-inspired dessert menu at Lapidus Bar that perfectly pair with the craft cocktails.

Fuego Y Mar is an elevated expression of Miami Glamour, 1950s Art Deco Miami Beach-inspired, an experience weaved throughout the influence of coastal Latin America, dishes crafted with fresh, simple ingredients with a spin-off from tradition.

Standout lunch dishes include:

  • A Mexican-inspired Milanesa sandwich with succulent, panko breaded chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, chipotle aioli, and avocado served on panini bread

  • Aspin on an Ecuadorian favorite Pan-Seared Red Snapper Encocado served with coconut refrito sauce, cauliflower rice salad, tabbouleh, pomegranate, and freshly made tostones.

Close your eyes, feel the breeze, and let yourself dive into their menu. “Inspired Globally, Sourced Locally”.

An ideal expression of Miami's Glamour inspired by the 1950s style. Lapidus Bar Chef and Mixologist paired bold flavors with fresh and refined ingredients that take a spin-off from tradition to transport you to the most exciting part of Miami Beach.

The two impactful dessert options at Lapidus Bar are:

  • “Tipsy Stage,” consisting of a Grand Marnier parfait, strawberry margarita sorbet tequila gelée

  • “The Jewelry Box ,'' made up of a selection of a Baileys bonbon, an orange mezcal financier, a coffee rum macaron, and a cherrie Martell.

Chotto Matte’s new brunch will feature two unique sharing-style menus: Jungle Brunch ($75 per person) and Vegetarian Jungle Brunch ($65 per person). Keeping with the theme, each menu features dishes elevated by herbs, spices and citrus fruits found in the Peruvian jungle. Those who opt for the Jungle Brunch menu will start the experience with mouthwatering appetizers, including Oak-Smoked Salmon Tostada, Bao Pato Crujiente, Edamame and Jungle Ceviche, a spin on Chotto’s classic ceviche that incorporates three types of fish rather than just one. Guests will then enjoy a selection of tableside torched sushi, including the Sato Maki and Spicy Tuna Roll. Before digging into Chotto Matte’s Dessert Platter, guests can choose three robata grill favorites from a selection of options, including the Spicy Chicken Karaage with a special Nikkei rub; the Gambas a la Parrilla, Argentinian red shrimp flavored to perfection in a spicy coconut marinade; or the BBQ Huacatay Broccoli with Peruvian black mint, red chili and cilantro.
