Must Have Cocktails This Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day: herald as the last hurrah as summer ends and autumn starts in full swing. So for whatever you're doing this labor day, whether it's heading to the beach for one final swim or staying at home to chill out Monday, here are some cocktails to celebrate Labor Day.

If you're planning to go on an adventure, hosting a soiree at home or just relaxing with a bbq, these cocktails will let you unwind as we head to the last days of Summer.


The Rosebud

  • 2 oz Código 1530 Rosa Tequila

  • 1 oz Lemon Juice

  • .75 ox Mint Syrup

Shake over ice and strain into glass. Garnish with Mint leaf.


High West Whiskey Sour

  • 2 oz Double Rye!

  • 0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

  • 0.5 oz Simple Syrup

  • 1 Egg White

  • Brandied Cherries Garnish

Chill a martini glass. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain back into the cocktail shaker and shake again with no ice (reverse dry shake). Double strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with Angostura bitters and brandied cherries.


Averna Limonata

  • 2 Parts Averna

  • 1 Part Lemon Juice

  • 1/2 Part Simple Syrup

  • Club Soda

    Serve swizzle style with crushed ice; garnish with seasonal herbs (mint, rosemary, or sage). Top with soda water.


REYKA 5:1 MARTINI

  • 2 ½ parts Reyka vodka

  • ½ part Dry Vermouth

  • 2 dashes Orange bitter (Optional)

The Rhubarb Lift

  • 1 ½  parts Glenfiddich 12 Year

  • ½  part orgeat

  • ½  part cream

  • ½  part orgeat simple syrup

  • Club soda

    In a shaker combine all ingredients except for club soda and shake for at least 10 seconds. Strain into a fizz or collins glass.  Top with club soda from about six inches.  Then add another splash of club soda from lower to help “lift” the head of the drink above the rim. Rhubarb syrup: In a saucepan, combine 12 ounces of water with 12 ounces of sugar and 4 cups of roughly chopped rhubarb over low heat. Keep on heat for 15 - 20 minutes stirring regularly. Strain and refrigerate. Keep up to one week.


Rum Old Fashion

  • 1.5 oz Santa Teresa 1796

  • 0.25 oz demerara syrup

  • 4 dashes angostura bitters

    Build all ingredients in a mixing glass. Stir 30-40 seconds. Pour over ice in a double old fashioned glass. Garnish with an orange or a lemon twist.


Al Fresco Spritz

  • 6 oz. Martini & Rossi bianco vermouth

  • 3 oz. St Germain

  • 2 oz. Bombay Sapphire

  • 1 oz. lime juice

    Build and stir. Top with Perrier and Prosecco. Garnish with green grapes, lime wheels, kiwi wheels, starfruit, green apple slices, cucumber slices.
