Isle Always Love You

Love in a Glass: Valentine's Day Cocktail Creations - Off The MRKT Vday cocktail guide
  • Raspberries — Half a cup of fresh raspberries

  • Isle of Skye 8 Years Old - 2 oz— The peat smoke in the whisky lends a soft warmth to the cocktail.

  • Lemon Juice — Freshly squeezed lemon juice is the best.

  • Orange Juice — Freshly squeezed orange juice.

  • Soda (optional) — This adds a bit of fizz to the cocktail.

To start, make the raspberry simple syrup. Heat the raspberries, sugar and water on a saucepan over medium heat. Continue to heat for 5 to 10 minutes until the sugar has fully dissolved and the raspberries have broken down. Maintain a very gentle simmer, but don’t let the mixture boil.

Remove the syrup from the stove and strain out the leftover raspberry chunks. Let the syrup cool down for 5 to 10 minutes before mixing it into your cocktail. In a cocktail shaker, add the raspberry syrup, Isle of Skye 8 Years Old, orange juice, lemon juice and a handful of ice.

Shake well, and strain into a cocktail glass.
