Douglaston Development Launches Sales at 175 East 82nd Street

Douglaston Development has launched sales at 175 East 82nd Street, a 38-story brick condominium tower rising 478 feet at the corner of East 82nd Street and Third Avenue on the Upper East Side. Designed by award-winning architecture and interior design firm CetraRuddy, the building offers 73 one- to six-bedroom residences, including four penthouses with Central Park views. Jeffrey Levine, Chairman of Douglaston Development, Levine Builders and Clinton Management, called the launch a milestone for a corridor that delivers the “refined ‘quiet luxury’ lifestyle” sought by today’s condominium buyers.

The residences feature gracious entry foyers with wide plank flooring, separate laundry rooms, powder rooms, and kitchens with hand-selected stone and custom proscenium-inspired millwork. Most bedrooms include ensuite bathrooms, and primary suites showcase custom vanities with warm wood detailing. A defining feature is the building’s hand-laid brick facade, crafted from custom Endicott Desert Ironspot brick chosen for its natural variation and texture. CetraRuddy Founding Principal John Cetra said the design balances the scale and character of the streetscape with a contemporary perspective, while Executive Director of Interior Design Nancy Ruddy said the team designed the interiors “from the inside out” to highlight the natural light in each home.

Amenities span the 24th and 25th floors and include a 40-foot indoor pool, a fitness center with a dedicated yoga and Pilates studio and sauna, a resident lounge, an outdoor terrace loggia, a screening lounge, and a children’s playroom, alongside a lobby anchored by a limestone colonnade and a suspended chandelier. The building also includes 3,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and private automated parking for penthouse buyers. To coincide with the launch, the sales team has opened a gallery within Colette, a private co-working club on the 37th floor of the GM Building. The Young New Development Group at Brown Harris Stevens, led by founder Joshua Young, is the exclusive sales and marketing agent, with completion estimated for Fall 2027.
