Ballet, Fashion, and Star Power Collide at YAGP’s 2026 Gala at Lincoln Center

New York’s cultural calendar got a dose of elegance and star power as Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) hosted its annual Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow Gala at the David H. Koch Theater. Hosted by Misty Copeland and Tamar Greene, the evening brought together ballet’s biggest names alongside a crowd that spanned fashion, philanthropy, and New York society, all in support of the world’s largest ballet scholarship organization.

The night honored LoveShackFancy Founder Rebecca Hessel Cohen and choreographer Melanie Hamrick, setting the tone for an evening that seamlessly blended performance and design. A standout moment came as dancers took the stage in flowing, custom LoveShackFancy looks, performing original choreography set to music by The Rolling Stones, while internationally renowned ballet stars delivered a series of powerful and visually striking performances.

Following the performance, more than 300 guests gathered for a dramatic dinner inside the theater’s promenade, where ballerinas performed from surrounding balconies in a fully immersive moment. Beyond the spectacle, the gala reinforced YAGP’s deeper mission—expanding access to dance through scholarships, mentorship, and global opportunity, while continuing to shape the next generation of both performers and audiences.
