Best Neighborhoods in Nashville for Young Home Buyers

June 23, 2022 by Jeremy Lindy

Nashville is the country music capital of the country. The city is the capital of Tennessee and is home to many musicians and artists. If you’re a country music fan, you might dream of taking the leap from renting a home in Nashville to buying a home. The city is home to the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, The Grande Ole Opry, and the infamous 4-day CMA Music Festival. Country music can be heard from every corner in downtown Nashville, and with a thriving job market, it’s easy to see why so many people love living there.

Berry Hill

Berry Hill is located south of Downtown Nashville. Though at first glance, it looks like a strictly residential neighborhood, you quickly see the quirky shops, many recording studios, and more than four hundred businesses. The neighborhood is home to The Candle Bar, where guests can pour their own candles, and The Escape Room, an exciting family entertainment venue. Berry Hill offers young home buyers a variety of real estate options. The community is filled with family homes that look picture-perfect.

12South

Stretching half a mile along 12th Ave. South is the neighborhood locals refer to as 12South. The small community is exceptionally walkable, with plenty of coffee shops, bars, premium shopping boutiques, and more. The neighborhood is excellent for young home buyers as it features many 20th-century bungalows and luxury new construction builds. In addition, 12South is home to Nashville's iconic restaurants, such as Urban Grub and Frothy Monkey.

The Gulch

Living in the Icon In The Gulch provides residents with an incredible, upscale living experience. The Gulch is a great neighborhood in Nashville. It's located slightly south of Downtown Nashville and is an eccentric mix of residential living spaces with unique, upscale shopping and exceptional cuisine. The Icon In The Gulch specifically is a great place for young home buyers to look into. The building towers up twenty-two stories, offering striking panoramic city views from every unit. In addition, the Icon In The Gulch has sky-high ceilings, soaring windows, massive soaking tubs, roomy walk-in closets, and spacious balconies. Young home buyers looking to buy a property in Nashville should consider the Icon In The Gulch. It offers enormous amenities, striking views, and easy, comfortable living.

Sylvan Park

Located slightly southwest of Downtown Nashville, tucked away in a peaceful corner, you’ll find Sylvan Park. The neighborhood in Nashville is quaint, quiet, and enchanting. It’s home to many locally-owned restaurants and shops. Homes in this neighborhood are well maintained and within proximity to excellent schools. Young home buyers will be able to find homes that look like they belong in a storybook with thick green lawns, beautiful gardens, and nearby playgrounds and parks. Sylvan Park is a particularly family-friendly neighborhood.

Marathon Village

Marathon Village is situated just minutes from downtown. It's one of the best neighborhoods in Nashville for young home buyers because it's vibrant, artsy, and offers tons of entertainment. In addition, residents can find unique businesses, venues, and chic studio apartments tucked inside old red brick buildings.

Green Hills

Dubbed as one of Nashville's most desirable neighborhoods, Green Hills is a perfect place for young home buyers. It is home to the infamous Bluebird Cafe and has a variety of real estate options. The neighborhood offers many new construction builds, townhomes, modern condos, and there are also great architects in Nashville. Green Hills is home to premium shopping opportunities and brands as well!

Sobro

Sobro is a neighborhood in Nashville that celebrates all things new. It is home to many modern, new buildings and incredible cuisine. In addition, prospective home buyers can find unique lofts and condos. Sobro is a small neighborhood, perfect for those who love downtown living.

Belmont / Hillsboro Village

The neighborhood of Belmont and Hillsboro Village is a pillar of the Nashville community. It's an old, urban community located just a few miles from the center of downtown. Young home buyers can expect to find diverse real estate options. With homes dating back to 1902, new condominiums, lofts, townhomes, and more, this neighborhood really does have something for every home buyer. Belmont / Hillsboro Village is also within easy walking distance to fantastic schools!

East Nashville

East Nashville is a neighborhood located across from the Cumberland River. It is a trendy, historic neighborhood with Texas' rich history. Home values in the East Nashville neighborhood have skyrocketed; now more than ever, it's a great time for young home buyers to invest. East Nashville is a place of opportunity. There are many unique shops sprinkled throughout the entire neighborhood.

West End / Elliston Place

Home to Nashville's beautiful Centennial Park, the West End / Elliston Place neighborhood is a great place for young home buyers. There are a handful of historic properties and an assortment of significant real estate opportunities.

The Final Word

Nashville, Tennessee, is a country-loving, vibrant city. While you sing along to popular country songs, wander through the streets in your cowboy boots, and boot scootin boogie through the neighborhoods, you'll quickly see why so many people are moving to the city every day! It's a place for creatives, artists, musicians, and everyone else. People are friendly, warm, and welcoming, and there really isn't anything like living in Nashville!
