5 Apps To Boost Your Physical And Mental Health

June 02, 2020 by Jeremy Lindy

Are you looking to give your health a reboot? Want to find some new ways to get your body and mind in great shape? If you haven’t tried a health-based app yet, you’re really missing out! There are so many apps available, offering support for everything from mental health to fitness, sexual wellness or hearing health. To get you started, have a try of these five. Checkout SoftGoza to learn how to download these apps in simpler steps

1 . Shine

Shine is a self-care app which helps users to prioritize their mental health, challenge negative thought patterns and set goals for development. Shine offers tips on productivity, mindfulness, positive affirmations and a whole lot more. The application sends users daily motivational text messages, full of inspiration and positive quotes. Using Shine you can improve your self-care, brainstorm ideas to solve problems, or challenge yourself to show more gratitude. Shine has a supportive online community, so you can chat to other users about self-care, mental health and goals.

2. Emjoy

Emjoy is a sexual self-care app that's become a big part of the fem tech movement in the last few years. The app focuses on improving sexual wellness using audio guidelines, wellbeing sessions, science based articles, goal setting and more. The idea behind the app is based on many studies that link sexual wellbeing with mental and physical health. Emjoy believe that, ‘self-care for your body and mind goes beyond fancy body scrubs, smelly candles, or evenings on the treadmill!’

3. Glo

Yoga is one of the best things you can do for both your mental and physical health. The Glo app is for yoga, meditation and pilates, designed to help users feel amazing in both mind and body. The app comes in a wide range of different class styles and levels, so you can pick a practice that’s right for you. There are gentle hatha classes for those who want a relaxing workout, or dynamic ashtanga for more experienced yogis. Glo provides you with class suggestions based on your interests, level and your goals. The app becomes increasingly personalized the more that you complete sessions.

4. Nike Training Club

Nike training club is a free fitness app to help people access a range of workouts from home. You’ll find so many workouts here, from HIIT to bodyweight and yoga. If you have specific goals, try the special curated workouts. There are plenty of different collections designed for trying at home. A few of these workout sessions include, ‘big workouts for small spaces’, ‘family workouts’ or ‘boost your mood’.

5. Braci

Braci is an app which is designed specifically for those with hearing loss. It functions to analyze sounds, and then turn these into notifications you can see or feel on your phone. For instance, if the smoke alarm is going off, or the doorbell is ringing, the app can detect this, and send a message alert. Whether it’s a carbon monoxide alarm, or the oven timer, Braci can help users to stay safe at home.
