How to make your garden blooming

January 30, 2020 by Jeremy Lindy

Few would disagree that gardens can make your home the envy of the neighborhood. Quite often, they are the primary metric when it comes to curb appeal.

Of course, this takes a lot of work – and a lot of knowledge. It’s the latter which today’s article is going to concentrate on, as we mull through four links we have been sent over the last few months which take a look at what you can do to make the most of flowers in your garden.

What makes a winter Garden? – David Domoney

For some of you, you’ll be in the thick of winter. This is the time where gardens can look tired to say the least and dare we say it, sometimes dead.

This guide from David Domoney just takes a look at some of the best plants you can turn to in a bid to transform your garden during this period. There are 21 different plants in total, and just taking advantage of a handful can really spruce up your garden and add some much-needed color.

What makes a summer garden? – Good House Keeping

Following on from the above, this next link won’t come as a surprise. Good House Keeping are the author this time and they have just taken a look at some of the best plants that work in gardens during the summer. It’s at this point of the year in which the obstacles are a little bit different, but the results are the same. In other words, before you know it, your garden can look completely dead.

This guide takes a look at no fewer than thirty plants which are suitable to the summer months.

Get the experts involved – Avas Flowers

This next suggestion isn’t quite as conventional as some of the others, but we just had to put out a mention to Avas Flowers, and particularly all of the Avas Flowers offers that are available right now.

In some ways, this was the inspiration for this post. We bought some flowers from this company, and quickly found that they had a wealth of resources on how to make the most of your garden with flowers. Turning to the professionals in this regard is a really good way to understand what works in gardens, and also have the reassurance that you’ll be acquiring really good quality flowers for it.

Low maintenance flower ideas - MNN

We’ve look at winter, we’ve looked at summer, but what about those of you who want the easy life? This is where this final link suggestion from MNN comes into the picture.

You can have the best garden in the vicinity one week, but the next it might be completely overgrown. Like it or not, most nice gardens require time, and this link from MNN is something that can help you out if you don’t have much of this invaluable resource. It shows 12 plants that can live in your garden without huge amounts of maintenance, which will help your plight no-end.
