How to choose the right sofa bed for your home

May 22, 2020 by Jeremy Lindy

Having a goodnight's sleep after a tiring and exhausting day is what we long for. By this chance, choosing the right sofa bed for your home is one of the things that we need to consider alongside using night creams for sensitive skin.

1. Comfort

Whether the product is for personal use or for friends to stay over, comfort should be your top priority. To do this, make sure to get a comfortable sofa bed with a mattress at least 5.5” thick, this will not only make you feel great but it will also give you a long term comfort. Keep in mind that if you’ll only need a sofa bed occasionally, you have the option of getting the slightly thinner mattress.

Some of the best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen but must be felt. Feel the furniture, lie-down, have a seat and rest your arms or raise your feet to get a good grip on how comfortable it is for you.

2. Space Availability

Where am I going to place it? This must be the first question that pops up in your mind before buying one. Always make sure that you measure and think of the best spot to put it.

Additional Tip: If planning to put pieces of furniture in front or at the side of your sofa bed, make sure those are light things and easy to move so you can lift them freely. Also, some stores already offer a slim or compact sized sofa bed. Choose wisely!

3. Budget-Friendly

Of course, we don’t want to sacrifice the quality and comfort of the sofa bed that we will buy. However, with furniture, you do get what you pay for. Here are some of the trusted bed sofa supplier for you to consider:

Every single piece of furniture they sell here has been hand-crafted, each sofa and chair is lovingly fashioned by time-served upholsterers, seamstresses, and cutters. And according to their website, some of the workers who use to work with them have grown up with the business.

As the company’s tagline which says “We Make Exceptional Sofas”

Every one of their fabric and leather Chesterfield sofa beds is produced using traditional techniques. Being completely open about how Chesterfields are crafted and what materials they use. You can come personally to them to watch the expert skills and eye for detail of their craftsmen via the unique viewing gallery in their showroom.

4. Sofa Bed Size

Surprisingly, Sofa beds are available in a wide range of sizes, from a small sofa you can host one guest for overnight. If you are having trouble thinking about what size you are going to get. Always consider your space. Will it be in your bedroom, or in your living room? How much space do you have? Don't have much room? A smaller sofa (45″ wide) without a chaise longue is enough.

Here are some guidelines for your Sofa Bed sizes:

Single Two-Seater Sofa Beds - These sofas can seat two people, and have a comfy pull-out bed that can sleep one, which is ideal if you often have guests who stay overnight.

Double Three-Seater Sofa Beds - Three-seater sofas that feature a pull-out double bed. They are the ideal choice if you are looking to add an extra sleeping option to your home.

5. Design

Lastly, you’ll have to think about the design of your sofa bed. How well are you going to choose that will fit into your home? Finding the best design is really something for a homeowner. Make sure to find the best appealing color, design, and texture that will make a difference in your everyday life. Because your home is who you are, find the best style that will fit your lifestyle. The good design that combines style, comfort, and functionality.
