7 Reasons Why You Should Wear Sunglasses More Often

July 25, 2021 by Jeremy Lindy

Sunglasses are not just an accessory in your outfit, they are practical and useful above all else. So wearing them will ensure that you look both stylish, and protected from many things! There are so many different styles and designs you can choose from, some are classic, some are more designer and out there, but you can find the pair that suits you the most! So here are 7 reasons why you should wear sunglasses more often!

1. Anti-aging

When you are out and about during summer, especially during the day, you are more likely to squint your eyes than usual! This can create fine lines if you continue to do it in the long run, so to prevent this from happening, put on a pair of big sunglasses! You’ll prevent the faster-aging process by cutting off the unnecessary squinting - whilst also enjoying your day-to-day activities during summertime! Obviously, you should wear sunscreen, but sunglasses are just another safety precaution you should take, even if you don’t feel like wearing glasses at the beach that day, you should do it - preserve your health and skin!

2. Prevent sun damage

Sun is more dangerous than you think and on top of that, your eyes and the skin around them are prone to damage! Unfortunately, these types of skin damages can be extreme; you can even get skin cancer if you are exposed to UV rays. So, adding a pair of sunglasses is a must to protect your eyes and eyelids from getting damaged and potentially causing bigger health problems in the long run! Sun damage is serious, even if you don’t notice it right away, most of the time the skin will gradually get worse and worse, you’ll start to look and feel bad, and then it will be pretty late to reverse the damage -so try to prevent it!

3. You’ll see better

If you are a driver, you know exactly how hard it is to drive when the sun is hitting you directly in the face, and the little sunshades in your car won’t do the trick in most cases. If you are unable to see while you’re driving, it’s annoying, and also you can cause an accident! So your best bet is to wear a nice pair as soon as you notice that the weather is changing, becoming more and more bright, this way you’ll be able to see no matter where you live!

4. Your eyes are protected

The wind is annoying no matter where you’re at, in the middle of the city center or at the beach, the chances of something getting into your eye are the same. Small particles, dust, and even small bugs can fly into your eyes and cause irritation and discomfort. This is never great when walking somewhere, and it can even be dangerous if you are on your bike - you want to keep your eyes open all the time! A nice pair of glasses can definitely protect your eyes and keep them from any unnecessary irritations! Additionally, if you're looking for practical eyewear options beyond sunglasses, such as wholesale reading glasses, there are plenty of choices to suit your needs and style.

5. You look cool

If you want to look cool and make any regular outfit pop, you can achieve so by adding a cool pair of glasses. As you can see at Shark Eyes, Inc., there are so many different sunglasses, in all sorts and kinds of shapes and sizes. There is always something for everyone, no matter what your style is, all you have to do is find a signature pair that fits you perfectly. Sure, the practicality should be your main priority, but you can always enjoy the aesthetically pleasing aspect as well!

7. You don’t have to wear makeup

If you have a habit of wearing makeup everywhere you go, sometimes you just simply won’t have time to do your eyes - so why not just out on a pair of sunglasses instead? This is extremely convenient, if you want to hide dark circles from the night before, or you just simply don’t want to appear not put together, a beautiful pair will definitely do the trick!

6. If you want some anonymity

Sometimes you just don’t want to be seen, even if you have places to go - but a pair of large, dark sunglasses can give you a bit of privacy! This is great since you can go about your day, be protected from the sun, and also enjoy a bit of anonymity along the way!

At the end of the day, your top priority should be your health, protecting both your eyes and your skin, but if you can also look fabulous while doing it, it should be an even bigger encouragement to wear sunglasses more often. Put them in your bag, in your car, and in visible places, so you don’t forget them when going about your day!
