Douglas Elliman Agent Hosts God's Love We Deliver Event

On Saturday, July 21st Douglas Elliman agent, Nicholas Compagnone and fellow generationLOVE and Rockaway native, Chase Yoselowitz hosted their second annual “Rockaway Soiree” to celebrate and support the work of God’s Love We Deliver, raising $17,000. The Soiree was held at a gorgeous beachfront property located at 140 Beach 139th Street with over 250 people in attendance.

This is just one of the fantastic initiatives Compagnone is spearheading for the organization, which he has been a part of for over two years. In March 2019, he will be participating in Douglas Elliman’s Ride to REINVENT for the third year in a row, cycling over 100 miles each time to raise money and awareness for God’s Love.  On top of this, he is a member of the young professionals group at God’s Love known as generationLOVE, through which he has volunteered in the kitchen and acted as a spokesperson, making several speeches on behalf of the organization.

Notable guests from Douglas Elliman included agents Jordan Shea, Glenn Davis, Diana Guo, Hakim Salih, Bridget Harvey, John Mcsherry, Steven Bezman, Hilah Haddaway and Louise Holmes. Notable guests from God’s Love We Deliver included COO Alethea Hannemann, Manager of Key Donors and Corporate Partnerships Stephen Covello, Special Events Coordinator Julia Cordry and Dietitian Nutritionist Jamie Lopez.

Party with a Purpose at James Beard Foundation’s Chefs & Champagne

The James Beard Foundation is hosting an event called Chefs and Champagne with guest of honor, Padma Lakshmi. The event is being held at Wölffer Estate Vineyard to help raise money for the foundation’s impact programs, women’s leadership programs, scholarship programs, and more.

Chefs and Champagne will feature flowing Champagne Boizel, dishes from over 35 different chefs, and wines from Wölffer Estates. Additionally, the event will have a silent auction to continue to help raise funds for the various programs run by the James Beard Foundation. The items up for auction will include wines and spirits, fine dining experiences, culinary travel packages, and cookware.

The event will take place on Saturday July 28th from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Tickets for members are $225, while tickets for the general public are $300. For the VIP Experience, tickets for both members and the general public are $425, and runs from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. If you are unable to attend the event, you can participate in the James Beard Foundation’s online auction.

This summer, attendees will be welcomed to explore the many wonders of Kate Young’s exquisite affair, inspired by the lavish parties of the early 1920s as portrayed in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Beautiful and Damned.” Harnessing her unique eye to reimagine the 1,000 hand-picked elderflowers in every bottle of St-Germain, Kate will transform The Battery into a surrealist oasis inviting guests to forage their own path through the enchanting grounds.

Each space – including the whimsical Sea Glass Carousel – will serve as a new discovery, featuring joyful surprises including grandiose flowers and mythical objects, along with integrated performances fusing actors into elements of the décor. Drawing inspiration from the lavish parties of the 1920s as portrayed in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s cautionary tale “The Beautiful and Damned,” the midsummer fete will celebrate life’s fleeting moments with artfully crafted cocktails and festive bites. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to The Battery Conservancy.

If you feel inspired by the collaboration but unable to attend this year, you can still have your own at home experience. pick up a bottle of St-Germain French elderflower liqueur and make one of their cocktails at home.

ST-GERMAIN ELDERFLOWER SPRITZ

  • 2 oz Martini & Rossi Prosecco
  • 1.5 oz St-Germain French elderflower liqueur
  • 2 oz sparkling Water

Method: Fill a tall Collins glass with ice. Add Martini & Rossi first, then St-Germain, then Club Soda (the order is essential). Stir completely and garnish with a lemon twist.
