Lenox Hill Neighborhood House Celebrates “Once Upon a Dream” at Cipriani 42nd Street
Lenox Hill Neighborhood House brought a little storybook grandeur to Cipriani 42nd Street on April 30, welcoming more than 500 supporters and partners for its 2026 Spring Gala, “Once Upon a Dream.” The annual celebration benefited the historic 132-year-old Upper East Side nonprofit, which provides essential human services to thousands of New Yorkers on the East Side of Manhattan each year. This year’s gala honored Assembly Member Rebecca A. Seawright, Honorary Design Chair and Former Board Member Christopher Spitzmiller, and longtime partner Wilkinson Global Asset Management.

The evening leaned fully into its dreamy theme, with dozens of acclaimed interior designers from across the country creating elaborate tablescapes and installations that transformed the room into a highly polished design fantasy. Martha Stewart was in attendance to admire the tablescapes and toast the designers, while Diana Quasha served as Gala Chair Emerita. Guests enjoyed a special tablescape preview hour, followed by cocktails, dinner, tributes, live music, dancing, and a spirited Paddle Raise led by renowned auctioneer Lydia Fenet in support of Lenox Hill Neighborhood House’s vital programs.
The designer roster included Andrea Stark for Stark Carpet and Barbara Lewis for Lewis Gallo Design Group, Anthony Bellomo of Orangerie, Anthony Taccetta Event Design, Harry Heissmann with Sarabeth Designs, Marni Sugerman and D’Ascoli, Nadia Watts, New York School of Interior Design students, Purple Cherry Architecture & Interiors, TRP Interiors, and many others, along with a special table designed by the Early Childhood Center students at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House. Between the fantasy-level décor, major New York names, and charitable purpose, the evening served as a reminder that a great gala can still do more than sparkle. It can support work that actually matters.
