How To Make Your Trip To NYC More Romantic

March 12, 2024 by Jeremy Lindy

While New York is a standout holiday destination for everyone, it carries a huge appeal for couples. The wow factor of the bright lights and the chance to visit world-famous landmarks can set the scene for a truly romantic adventure.

In truth, you are sure to love your time in the Big Apple. Still, here are six top tips to make your vacation in NYC feel extra romantic.

#1. Find the best accommodation

NYC arguably has more to offer in terms of entertainment than any other place on earth. Nonetheless, the right choice of accommodation is essential, even if you intend to spend most of your time enjoying the city. Hotels on the Upper West Side marry a perfect location with idyllic interior settings. From grand reception areas to cozy hotel rooms, they provide the ultimate starting point for your vacation.

#2. Visit the places you’ve seen in films

Most couples love watching movies together. NYC is home to iconic movie locations. An afternoon of visiting the places that you saw in your favorite films can be very romantic. It doesn’t only bring back memories of the film itself. You will also remember the times you spent together watching them. On a side note, you can also recreate romantic poses from the legendary scenes. You will cherish the photos forever.

#3. Enjoy a romantic evening meal

New York boasts incredible restaurants across multiple cuisines and price points. Getting up high to look over the bright lights while you tuck into a delicious meal is something truly spectacular. The ambiance of the restaurant itself will be romantic enough. When combined with the views, though, it’s an experience you’ll never forget.

#4. Get up high

Any great romantic vacation needs a unique adventure that most people don’t do. Helicopter tours over Manhattan and other parts of New York are an ideal choice. It is an experience that takes your breath away and delivers iconic images that will stay with you forever. The fact that you have shared it together will bring you closer together. Likewise, it is something extra special to reminisce over in years to come.

#5. Enjoy a Broadway show

In terms of landmarks, most people in New York have a list of their must-see places. Whether it’s Ground Zero or the Statue of Liberty is up to you. However, getting tickets for a Broadway show can be an epic choice for couples. Whether it’s a show you’ve seen before or not, there is nothing like seeing it in NYC. it will become a big part of your love story. Taking in the atmosphere of a big sports event and how it united the city is wonderful too.

#6. Walk through Central Park

New York is synonymous with bright lights as well as the hustle and bustle. But it has several places of natural beauty, especially if you are traveling through the state rather than just the city. However, Central Park stands out as the perfect place to take a romantic walk along the 4-mile Bridle Path. The sounds of birds, water features, and nature are incredible. It’s also a moment to reflect on how lucky you are to be in each other’s lives.
