7 Best Cash House Buyers in San Antonio (2026)

October 28, 2026 by Jeremy Lindy in Real Estate

We have all heard how bad the real estate market has been for a while now. The over-inflated values during COVID and now the high interest rates are causing a slow decline that will likely last for many more years. Consequently, it's taking longer to sell a house in most places. This is especially true in San Antonio.

In fact, ATTOM Data just released its report on average flip profits in large markets and San Antonio, TX tops the list. The sad reality is the average flip lost money here!

If you want to sell your San Antonio house fast, you will likely need to sell to a cash home buyer.

We ranked seven cash buyers that operate in San Antonio, four local investors and three national companies, using third-party reviews and Better Business Bureau records. The exact sources used for compiling this ranking are included at the end.

How we ranked 'em

A high star rating only matters if it reflects what actually happens when sellers decide to sell to one of these companies. We weighed each company on:

  • BBB accreditation and rating, and how long the company has held it.
  • Independent review scores from Google, BBB and review aggregators, with weight on review volume.
  • Closing as promised: whether sellers report closing on the agreed date and at the agreed price.
  • Post-inspection changes: whether reviews or complaints describe offers dropping after an inspection.
  • Communication and professionalism: whether sellers felt informed, and whether the paperwork ran through a title company without surprises.

Local investors and national iBuyers work differently, so we also mention which ones are which.

The 7 best cash home buyers in San Antonio

Rank Company Type BBB Reviews
1 Danny Buys Houses Local A+, accredited since 2015 4.9 stars, 143 reviews
2 Sell My San Antonio House Local A+, accredited since 2020 4.9 stars, 166 reviews
3 Murphy Home Buyers Local A+, accredited since 2023 4.7 stars, 121 reviews
4 Texas All Cash Local A+, not currently accredited About 4.5 stars, 129 reviews
5 Opendoor National iBuyer Check its current BBB profile 4.2 stars across thousands
6 HomeVestors (We Buy Ugly Houses) National franchise A+ at Dallas HQ About 3.2 to 3.4 stars on Google
7 Offerpad National iBuyer A+ 3.9 stars

1. Danny Buys Houses

Founded in 2005 by San Antonio native Danny Johnson, Danny Buys Houses has the longest local track record on this list. It has held BBB accreditation since 2015 with an A+ rating. Danny's customers tend to recommend him to their friends which is how he has managed to do so well with a small team. This has allowed him to keep overhead down which is something he has stated to be the reason he can often offer more than his competitors. Danny Buys Houses carries a 4.9-star average across review sites.

What sellers mention most is transparency. The company publishes case studies that walk through real houses they bought, including a 1950s ranch in north-central San Antonio, showing how the offer was calculated and what the renovation involved. One BBB reviewer said the website's detail was what led them to call. Danny Buys Houses buys as-is with no inspection contingency and covers closing costs, so the offer you accept is the one you close on.

Best for: sellers who want a local buyer with a long, verifiable record with certainty of closing.

2. Sell My San Antonio House

Run by owner Nick Disney since 2013, Sell My San Antonio House has been BBB-accredited since 2020. Clever calculates a 4.9 weighted rating across 166 verified reviews, with new reviews each month, a good sign of consistent activity.

Best for: inherited homes and rentals.

3. Murphy Home Buyers

Based on Powhatan Drive in north San Antonio, Murphy Home Buyers holds an A+ rating and BBB-accredited since 2023. Its 4.7 average across 121 reviews is slightly below the leaders, though recent ratings have trended up.

Best for: sellers facing foreclosure, probate or a quick relocation.

4. Texas All Cash

Texas All Cash is a family-owned investor based in Shavano Park that has bought in the San Antonio area since about 2008. It averages roughly 4.5 stars across 129 reviews, though its BBB customer reviews run lower, near 3.9. It keeps an A+ BBB rating, but Clever's latest profile lists it as no longer accredited, and it responds to fewer than half of its online reviews.

Best for: distressed properties, if you want a long-established local family business.

5. Opendoor

Opendoor is the largest national iBuyer and averages 4.2 stars across thousands of reviews. A 2026 Clever analysis found its offers averaged about 9% below the home's later resale price, plus a service fee. Common complaints involve repair deductions after inspection. In 2022, Opendoor paid $62 million to settle FTC allegations about misleading sellers, which it disputed.

Best for: newer homes in good condition.

6. HomeVestors (We Buy Ugly Houses)

HomeVestors' Dallas headquarters has been BBB-accredited with an A+ since 2013, but its Google rating sits around 3.2 to 3.4 stars. Because it runs through local franchises, your experience depends heavily on which franchisee you get.

Best for: heavy fixer-uppers, after you check the local franchise's own reviews.

7. Offerpad

Offerpad has bought in San Antonio since 2019 and offers perks like a free local move and an extended stay after closing. Its 3.9-star average trails Opendoor, and BBB complaints describe post-inspection price cuts and a contract cancelled when a seller refused the lower number.

Best for: sellers who value moving perks and can absorb a possible renegotiation.

You cannot just go on reviews, but you can get a good idea

While reviews should hold a lot of weight when deciding who to contact to get a cash offer, we believe you should not rely solely on them. Choose to contact at least 3 different companies and see what your experience is.

How did you feel you were treated during the initial phone call? Were you treated with respect and courtesy? Sometimes these are the types of questions that are hard to answer solely based on what you find online.

We hope our taking the time to do some of the cumbersome reading, filtering, and ranking the dozens of cash house buying companies in San Antonio helps you save time and helps you avoid a bad experience.
