“The Penthouse at 210 Pacific is such a spectacular, one-of-a-kind residence and I wanted to bring home the unique experience of what it would be like to actually live and move through the space. I wanted to try and create an instant connection with the home through a short narrative of a brief moment that I thought everyone could relate to – coming home to host friends. It was important to me that we convey that feeling and experience, inviting the viewer to place themselves in this Penthouse and imagine the story of what it would be like to live there. In our approach, we decided it might be really interesting to film it all in one continuous take, which I think really paid off well here and suited such a singular home with a film that was different than any other real estate video I had seen. But of course, as these things go, the idea and the execution of it are sometimes far apart, and we spent about 5 hours of rehearsal to get it right, having to rework the blocking and camera movement within the space as we went. Turns out, the best take we got was the last one, which we had filmed mostly as a ‘safety’, since we were all tired from the long rehearsal. The response to the video has been incredible and it’s something we’re all very proud of.” said Christopher Kromer
