Born & Raised Detroit Hosts 6th Annual Show Your Love for Detroit NYC
On April 7th, BARD will be hosting the 6th Annual Show Your Love for Detroit event in NYC at The Bowery Hotel. Following successful years past, the foundation will bring Metro-Detroit-raised New Yorkers, and others who share a passion for the city back together again for a fundraising affair, filled with live music, an open bar and a noteworthy silent auction.
Since 2011, Born & Raised Detroit (BARD) has been dedicated to keeping Detroiters connected across the United States in efforts to support and contribute to the city of Detroit, making it a hopeful place for future generations.
“Experiences that positively contribute to the upbringing of Detroit’s youth lie at the core of Born & Raised Detroit.” –Parker Lynch, Founder
Last year’s event attracted over 500 young professionals, aged 25-40, raising more than $60,000 for youth-based charities taking place on the ground in Metro-Detroit. In total, over the past five years, BARD has raised more than $350,000, donating significant amounts to non-profits, such as Alternatives for Girls, Racquet Up Detroit, Horizons Upward Bound,Detroit Music Hall, Beyond Basics, and the Ruth Ellis Center.
To help make a difference, join Born & Raised Detroit in its efforts to making the 6th Annual Show Your Love for Detroit the most successful event yet.
