NYC's Pride Pours: The Best Bars and Restaurants to Eat, Drink, and Celebrate Pride Month
Pride Month is in full swing, and across New York City the celebration is spilling out of the parade route and onto rooftops, into speakeasies, and behind the bar. From Midtown to Harlem to the West Village, bars and restaurants are marking the season with specialty cocktails, limited-time menus, LGBTQIA+-led DJ nights, and fundraisers that give back to the community. Here are some of the best spots to eat, drink, and raise a glass to Pride this June.
St. Cloud Rooftop at The Knickerbocker
High above Times Square, St. Cloud Rooftop is toasting Pride with “Pride in the Clouds,” a specialty cocktail menu honoring LGBTQ+ icons and trailblazers. The lineup includes the Shot Stormé, a rainbow-hued shot flight named for Stormé DeLarverie; the Sylvia Spritz, a bright pour of Viola Aperitif and Prosecco; and the Marsha Politan, made with fresh berries and Belvedere Berry Vodka. A portion of proceeds from every cocktail benefits The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, which has served New York’s LGBTQ+ community since 1983, making these skyline sips a feel-good way to celebrate.
Love Thy Neighbor
Newly opened in the West Village from Shigefumi Kabashima (ROKC, NR) and chef Elias Popa (Oti), Love Thy Neighbor is a queer-owned bar and dining concept built on inclusivity, cultural exchange, and chosen family. Guided by an ethos of “no straight lines,” the space pairs world-class cocktails with globally inspired cooking and immersive music programming. Thoughtful touches nod to LGBTQ+ history throughout, including a brick from the original Stonewall Inn and a Marsha P. Johnson quote set at the entrance, making it a meaningful place to gather, express, and celebrate during Pride Month and well beyond.
Sugar Monk
Pride Collins Credit - ROW NYC
Tucked away in Harlem, Sugar Monk is an LGBTQ+-owned cocktail destination built around storytelling, botanical exploration, and its in-house Atheras Spirits program of house-made amari, bitters, tinctures, and liqueurs. With immersive themed menus, weekly jazz, and a dim, intimate room, it has the feel of a modern Harlem speakeasy. For Pride Month, the bar is rolling out a limited-edition menu of Pride-inspired cocktails (past pours have included the drag-inspired “Queen of the Desert”), with Pride flags throughout and more programming on the way.
Percy All Day at Row NYC
At Percy All Day inside Row NYC, the Pride pour of choice is Percy’s Pride, a vibrant, color-changing cocktail built to celebrate love, individuality, and self-expression. Absolut Citron mingles with delicate elderflower and fresh-pressed lemon, while butterfly pea flower gives the drink its eye-catching hue and a splash of sparkling water keeps it crisp and elegant. Bright, floral, and unapologetically bold, it’s a fitting toast to the season, and $1 from every cocktail sold goes to The Ali Forney Center, which supports LGBTQ+ youth.
Hard Rock Hotel New York
Hard Rock Hotel New York leans into the deep ties between music and the LGBTQIA+ community all June long. The RT60 Rooftop Bar & Lounge hosts a month-long DJ series spotlighting LGBTQIA+ artists and allies, while the hotel’s Sound of Your Stay vinyl program adds a dedicated Love Out Loud collection featuring Reneé Rapp, Robyn, George Michael, Wolf Alice, and Céline Dion. Guests who want to go all in can book the Be Proud + Stay Proud package, which comes with priority access to the vinyl library, a limited-edition Stay Proud speaker, two cocktails at Sessions Restaurant or RT60, and a complimentary room upgrade based on availability.
However you choose to celebrate this June, from a rainbow shot flight over Times Square to a nightcap in a Harlem speakeasy, NYC’s bars and restaurants are pouring with Pride. Round up your chosen family, raise a glass, and toast the season at one of these spots.idtown)
