MONSE marked its first-ever Hamptons pop-up this month with an intimate summer evening that drew three distinct kinds of royalty to Water Mill. European royalty arrived in the form of Princess Olympia of Greece and Denmark, Hamptons royalty came by way of Sailor Brinkley Cook, and rock royalty showed up as Alexandra Richards. The evening was hosted by Social Life Magazine editor-in-chief Devorah Rose alongside MONSE co-founders and creative directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, who brought the brand’s East End debut to a curated crowd spanning fashion, entertainment, beauty, media and culture. Also among the guests were Stacey Bendet, Jenny Mollen, Lilly Hartley, Alexander Hankin and Macrene Alexiades, gathered to celebrate the label’s modern take on American fashion.

Held Saturday, August 8 at a private residence in Water Mill, the celebration unfolded beneath a gleaming white tent transformed into an immersive expression of MONSE’s Pre Fall collection. Oversized sunflowers with their petals playfully plucked stood alongside tiered silver platters piled high with cherries, a nod to the collection’s hand-drawn cherry motif. Tamara Comolli Jewelry lent its signature colorful gemstones to the evening, inviting guests to experiment with unexpected pairings, while an artfully composed grazing table turned the menu into part of the installation, mixing tiered cherries, seasonal produce, artisanal cheeses and Keluga caviar with ingredients from FreshDirect. Botanical spritzes and champagne flowed throughout the night, and a Malfy Gin cart poured its signature “Malfy Spritz” alongside Bloom Natural Energy Drink.

As the sun set, the party shifted into a private MONSE styling suite, where guests were given an intimate first look at a curated selection of the brand’s current and upcoming collections, its tables dressed in crimson cherries that echoed the night’s playful, unexpected details. Between the fashion, the setting and a guest list that also included longtime MONSE clients, tastemakers and editors, the evening reflected Devorah Rose’s enduring approach to hospitality, designing spaces where fashion, culture and conversation naturally intersect. It was a fitting welcome for a brand that has spent the year dressing some of culture’s most recognizable names, and a preview of what MONSE’s presence in the Hamptons could look like going forward.
