Finding an occasional ant or spider in your apartment is normal, but a full-on pest infestation can quickly become a nightmare. Cockroaches scurrying across countertops, mice squeaking behind walls, or bed bugs lurking in mattresses - these unwelcome guests can disrupt your living space and be difficult to get rid of.

As a tenant, you want to avoid bringing pests home in the first place. For landlords, it's in your best interest to take proactive measures to keep your properties pest-free to attract and retain good tenants. The good news is that with some vigilance and tenant-landlord cooperation, it is possible to prevent and control pest problems in rental units.
