Shibas Compete in NYC Halloween Costume Contest

Who & What: A group of some 50 Shibas from New York City and the surrounding region (and their owners) will converge for the third annual Shiba meet-up and Halloween costume contest specifically featuring Shiba Inus, the elegant Japanese hunting dog breed prized for its beauty. The spooky Shibas are expected to wear costumes ranging from monsters and superheroes to celebrities.

The contest, held in conjunction with Shiba & Co., will be conducted by two expert judges, and Shibas will receive prizes for eight costume categories, including cutest, most original, and most creative. The Halloween dog parade and costume contest is a growing national phenomenon, and this event stands out as the first and most beautiful of the season.

Antisocial Shibas is a New York City-based community of Shiba owners that gathers regularly in meetups and other events to celebrate the breed and foster connections among local dog lovers.
