This Earth Month, Osteria 57 is hosting a “Market to Menu,” dinner - a special Earth Day celebration and dinner on April 22 that brings together a group of standout producers the restaurant and Chef Riccardo Orfino works closely with, including Norwich Meadows Farm, Row 7, Flowering Sun, and Piro olive oil. The evening will be centered on seasonal cooking, sourcing, and the people behind the ingredients.
The dinner is designed to go beyond a typical tasting menu. The evening begins with an aperitivo hour and product tasting, where guests can meet the farmers and producers directly and experience their ingredients on their own terms from freshly pressed olive oil to peak-season vegetables and specialty mushrooms before moving into a multi-course dinner with wine pairing. The menu itself is built entirely around these relationships, highlighting ingredients at their peak and tracing them from field to plate.
Osteria 57 has long built its menu around direct partnerships with farms and producers, and this event brings those relationships to the forefront in a way that feels both tangible and immediate.
The collaboration will also extend beyond the dinner itself. Throughout the month, a limited-time sandwich at Travelers Poets & Friends will feature Row 7’s Sweet Prince Tomatoes, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Norwich Meadows Farm. The goal is to create a through-line between a one-night experience and everyday dining, connecting guests back to the farms in a more accessible way.
